[RiP-TiDE]

My problem only happens when entering the room where the final battle takes place.  I have not had this problem anywhere else in the game.

Problem:  About 75% of the screen is distorted, and it's always the same 75%  (ie. the 1st, 3rd, and 4th) quadrants.  It seems like the focal point of the distortedness is which ever character I currently have selected.   The other 25% (2nd quadrant) is fine.  Oddly enough, I can still play, but i'd rather be able to see what I'm fighting to finish this game.

It may be your video drivers, so I would suggest reading this topic

i would think that's the problem too if it happened throughout the game, but this problem only happened in the last room, but i will try the roll back ty

The one I suggest is not a roll-back, the version I suggest is the 258.96 (32-bit) WHQL release candidate version, which may work with your GPU, but since you are using a mobile device, your milage may vary. Traditionally, some laptop manufacturers only allow you to install their versions of the drivers and so may not work as expected even if you could install them.

Ok, now here's a question, eventhough i have my companion's behavior to use their items (ie. health potion or a cloak of displacement) they never use the item's power. Any idea why?
