Some people are saying you're turning Dragon Age into Mass Effect.Dr. Greg Zeschuk:
It's different. It's not quite going that way. You could make
that case based on what we've shown. It's like looking at the game
through a keyhole. You go, 'oh, well that's all there is'. Well, there's
a lot more than that. But that's what we're showing right now."

hmm, no matter what: "not quite" is still a bad omen

It also could just mean the dialogue wheel and VO. Not quite=/= really modify DA, imo.

They sold to EA so now they just placeholder figure heads around to promote products.
I really hope its not going ME2 route but we need to see more info to know.
All I know for sure right now is based on info I have, I wont be buying opening day and will wait for the $20.00 steam version.
If Bioware can prove its not going the ME2 route ill then buy the full price product but if they prove they have gone the ME2 route ill not bother buying at all!
So more info can change a minimal sale in their favor or against their best interest, time will tell

That's what "not quite" means to me anyway.

This is completely unreassuring.

What he meant by "not quite" was "I don't like talking about how I'm a creepy old man"

Guys, what the cr@p is so difficult to understand about a guy acknowledging that there is some truth to the question?
Indeed. Not quite means, to me: "Some things are, but for the most part, no".

It would have been better business strategy to not show the stuff that makes it look like Mass Effect right away. Instead introduce us to the game in a way that reminds us of DA:O. Then talk about some of the changes that have been made.
In other words: lie.
They should hire a used car salesman for the publicist job then.

"The second concept, which I think is actually really strong one, is
paying a different price for a base part of the game and then getting
other stuff after that," said Zeschuk. "It's an interesting model. I
don't know if it's episodic or a different type of model. It's probably
something we'll see someone try."
"The challenge is of finding that nice initial price. One of the
challenges of Episodic content is that you have a declining purchase
rate and what your actually doing is splitting a $40 or £40 game into
four pieces, but you're always going to make more with the initial
episode.
"That might actually be different if 10 times as many people bought the
first one," he added. "It's one of those spaces we'll see people
exploring. We'd have to decide to do a game in the right way to take
advantage of that, but that is something I wouldn't be surprised if we
did try."
Microsoft experimented with offering
Fable II espisodically on Xbox Live and charging a small price for
each chunk. Fable III will use a similar model but for DLC, therefore
offering the first chunks for free and then charging for subsequent
episodes."
Does it mean that Bioware could try to sell us their games espisodically?Who wants a Dragon Fable Effect?

Can't tell if you are being sarcastic or simply jumping to conclusions.

The goods news is Fable 3 will really be good this time, Molyneux promises! And he bashes Fable 1 and 2 to prove it!
Seriously tho, Fable 3 does indeed look good this time. Then again, I fell for that trap 2x already. At least I got Fable II for $20 instead of buying it on launch

Good heavens, I feel you there. I'm being a dumb ass again and pre-ordered collectors. I don't know why I'm falling in this trap again but I'm always starved for RPGs.

Not quite could mean anything ranging from yes to no. Politicians use it all the time when the answer is yes but dont want to admit that.
Example
"Are we lost?"
"Not quite, I just dont know where we are."
Edit: I think it is interesting to note that in another interview that was posted on these forums that Greg Zeschuk (it was either Greg or Ray, I cant remember) seemed to regard the success of Origins as a fluke when it comes to the fact that it outsold both Mass Effect and its sequel showing that he has a clear bias towards Mass Effect.
