Dragon Age too easy.

Playing on hard. Ogre in tower wend down without a healer no problem. Redcliffe was no hassle.
Hope Bioware don't nerf the difficulty because people can't handle a challenge.

Everyone talks about the difficulty - "nah that was easy, I beat everything on hard mode no problem, you guys just suck".

i don't find the game difficult, as i excel at these kind of games. on the other hand, my skillsets don't fit in with FPS game and I am usually the frag bunny in CS or TF2.
Do understand that all people don't have same way of playing a game. people have different game experiences depending on their profecicieny. it has nothing to do with "eliticism". but of course, you can keep on telling yourself that, if you wish.

I'm an writer ,but Mr. B is a police officer.

That's my opinion.

Can't understand what everyone's going on about with the difficulty. The few areas I've got to so far that have proved controversial on the forum here have been simple.

I wouldn't consider myself an elite gamer BUT Ive found it abit too easy (on normal difficulty)- but challenging for the most part. Thats just how its been for me.
I prefer a challenge over a 'cinematic experience' (ie. I like feeling that I have accomplished something after defeating a tough foe instead of the game playing itself for me). Perhaps that helps explain my position and perhaps others as well.

Now for a more serious post. Your first point well the OP does come across as abit of an bragger/gloater, however I am myself fed up seeing all the posts moaning about how hard the game is.Duoglas wrote...
If people can post about it being too hard whats wrong with posting that some people find it too easy? It may just be that some of these people are being truthful and not looking to brag/ gloat.

Your second point I agree with especially after the patch. However mess up in some of the fights especially random encounters and its reload time.
The one random encounter with the 102937 Darkspawn archers and 2 stealthy gits gave me fits that is until I discovered the joys of Fireball..

I agree with Risvahs, that I don't either find the game difficult. I started at Hard, went up to level 12 or so, then was slightly disappointed with some choices I've made and restarted at Nightmare. I picked the Rogue class, and killed the Ogre boss without a single character falling in battle and only drinking a few healing potions. I won it simply because I made good use of the pause button and timing of different abilities, not to mention running away when noticing which char the ogre is targetting. I play on PC, which makes the tactical management a bit easier I imagine.
I wouldn't call myself an elitist anyway, as I'm also a fragbunny in elitist FPS games online. But the harder the difficulty is, the more I find myself needing to study the tactical situation and make choices. If I just run headlong into battle, I'll be slaughtered immediately.

Hardest battle so far was a certain revenant in a certain house, actually had to change up my regular party and use 2 healers for that one. Mages are extremely overpowered in this game tho, cone of cold and some other spells are what makes it easy otherwise a lot of battles would be hard.
I don't consider myself elite I just exploit line of sight, pause a TON and micromanage, use quite a lot of potions on the hard fights. For a lot of people this playstyle would probably not be enjoyable though.
Too easy it aint - I wouldn't fancy playing on nightmare.

My own experiance with the difficulty settings have been I often find the difference between easy and normal are insane. For example last night I was ambushed on by people after the red headed girl.
On normal no matter how hard I tried no matter what party combinations I used I couldn't do it... Yet when I changed it to easy blimey...talk about easy, my party cut through them like butter. Theres no in between, you have to micromanage like simcity in normal or just hack and slash in easy, there's clearly a lack of balance here as Im finding easy no effort at all and at times normal almost impossible.

The difficulty levels are clearly a hot topic which in its self should tell anyone outside looking in that theres a problem.

Very annoying ambush took me about 5 tries to complete it, found using cone of cold on the sniper eliminated allot of the damage on my group and the rest was rather easy except for the Mage, if I couldn't get someone in close enough I was toast!
Been playing on Normal myself and have found the difficulty about right, maybe a little too easy in some situations and annoying hard in others but I am still learning the tactics and my party.
Second play through will probably give hard a shot.
