So I only found out in my most recent playthrough that Sten has some unique dialogue if you take him certain places.
I got him to talk about the Tal'Vashot when I took him to the Brecilian Forest.
There was also something about Mages, but I forgot what triggerd that.

Are there some dialogue I missed please inform me, I am realy intrested about founding out more about the Qunari.

Well there was a conversation between Wynne and Sten or Morrigan and Sten about the Mage's in Par Vollen.
But besides the things I named are there other unique dialogue points where he mentions something about a diffrence between Ferelden and the Qunari, except for cookies I know about his obsession with sweets, like stealing cookies from a fat kid

You can get the "Ferelden is strange, but I love your baked goods" conversation from him anywhere, but stealing the cookies from the fat kid only comes up by the shores of Lake Calenhad when you have to convince the Templar to ferry you across.

Another "situational" dialogue option that opens up is if you take Sten to Haven with you on the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest, at which point he will complain about how much time you're wasting on sidequests when you should be killing Darkspawn and finding the Archdemon (I found this amusing since I had just promised to help him find his sword). At this point, depending on how high (or low) his approval is of you, he will either just grumble and let it go, strongly suggest a change of course, or threaten to either leave or take command of your party and actually pick a fight with you.

You can trigger discussions with Sten about magi by bringing him to the Circle Tower for the beginning of the Broken Circle quest.



Sten picking a fight with you in Haven doesn't necessarily mean you lose him. He'll respect you if you beat him in a fight.



I can't think of any other unique dialog bits offhand, but I also don't use Sten a whole lot.

This is true. I had to fight him but I gained +4 approval after beating him and allowing him to stay with the party. The next conversation I had with him gained me +19 approval and now we're totally BFF.

Okay these are the ones I've found:



- On the Tal'Vashoth (Sten/Zevran banter)

- On Mages (Circle Tower)

- On Wisdom (Outside Redcliffe Chantry)

- On Children (Denerim Market)



A lot of these (Mages and Wisdom at least) are triggered by one of his 'enter area and comment' lines, which I assume randomly picks one of your characters. Its not unusual to only get 1-2 in a playthrough for me. That said, I now have the Improved Atmosphere mod, which makes all the party members comment, so I now have 3 of them at once currently.

I got *a* mage dialogue (don't know if it's *the* mage dialogue) that seemed to trigger from a Wynne/Sten banter.

If you did the Dark Ritual and survive you can talk with each of your party members once, and after that they keep repeating the same lines. Sten says the 'Cake is a Lie' line.

Right, I have only ever spoken to him once per reception (I've played through maybe 8 or 9 times) and he's never said it. I guess it's an easter egg.

D'oh - female Wardens also get a discussion with Sten on a woman's proper role in society. This one is fun.

There's also a Sten interjection when you speak to Brother Burkel in Orzammar, talking to Owen about saving his daughter at Redcliffe. I assume you know the one about Faryn in the Frostback Mountains before activating his personal quest. Another with Carroll (?) at Lake Calenhad when going to the Circle for the first time (Shale has a good one there as well).

That's all I can think of that hasn't been mentioned.

The best Sten banter? Hm...have to go Morrigan's or Leliana's.

Thank you, I never got the Wisdom or Children talks with Sten even if I always had him in my party, ah...  well I almost finished my current playthrough so I could find out in my next.
