If you've seen my posts on the ME fora before, you know I haven't had the nicest things to say about the ME games.

However, one thing I do really like is the sets of armour with unremovable helmets.  I know they really annoy some people, because they want to see Shepard's face in conversations, but there are armours in the game that allow that.  I like the unremovable helmets because they allow the player to choose whether Shepard's face is visible during dialogue and cutscenes.

As it happens, I'm not a fan of the facial animations in ME2.  Equipping armour with an unremovable helmet allows me to choose to hide those animations.

Player choice is generally a good thing in games, and this is an excellent example of player choice over how the game's content is presented.  I'm a fan of the feature.
