the graphics is going to be improved, so are the models. they said it would look better then DA1 and i bet it will. so don't worry too much. srsly those pictures look like Pre-alphe and no game looks good at pre-alpha.

Except the game's getting released in nine months. If they're still in pre-alpha, we're all in trouble.

I can see the point about them being disciples, it didn't occur to me because i have never seen that many in a fight. They seemed more like generals than common troopers, but i do see your point. I still believe they do not look darkspawnish enough for me. I understand that these could be very early models though. I do however, like the ogre.

Those aren't ordinary darkspawn, they're disciples (go play Awakening, or at least watch a few videos before you complain more). If there are normal darkspawn, they wont look like that.
I'm hoping that an increase of enlighted darkspawn means we may be able to recruit one, preferably one of the nicer ones, I've got a thread about a "Darkspawn Companion", check it out if you're interested.Zaros wrote...

Disciples are just 'enlightened' darkspawn. Naturally, the more that are enlightened, the more common they will be in lower ranked positions. And considering this covers 10 years, theres definately a high chance that we'll encounter larger and larger groups of them.
That makes no sense. Their models and skins have clearly been entirely changed, and they don't look particularly low res. Look at the Game Informer article.BrutalWolfs wrote...
No worrys mate, there Alpha shots.
So they don't have the final skin
If...if thats what they REALLY look like though....Then it looks like Skeletor is hiring again.

Well the Disciples looked wayyyyyyy more human than the normal Hurlock's they also had those cowl things that these ones have the chainmail coif i guess. also if you look real close at the Disciples they have the more human looking teeth which from the picture of Hawke about to decapitate one of them these ones have plus over 10 years id imagine that they (Disciples or just normal Darkspawn) would have evolved a bit.Talonfire wrote...

Didn't Disciples look just like normal darkspawn though? I don't recall them having human looking skin, anyway. This is a pretty big retcon if it's an accurate representation of what darkspawn will look like in the final product, unless there's a decent explanation for it.
