Hawke is human, and the game takes place over an entire decade. Does that mean our PC will age and change in appearance over the course of the game? Not many people go ten years without looking any different.

Personally, I think it'd be pretty cool if he did.

He probably will....then again, if he starts out at 20 and the game ends when he is 30, probably won't be THAT much of a difference =/

The way you look when you're twenty is much different than when you're thirty.

The degree of difference definetly varies from person to person, but nobody looks exactly the same after ten years.

well i guess he was not a child when leaving lothering. youll team up with your sister very soon and shes a mage (and LOOKS like one from the tower....the robe) so i guess youre already little older than.

I'm curious about this myself, also if he/she does age do they still keep the same haircut/beard they had at the start or will they be able to visit barbers and change it in a Fable-esque kind of way.
That always bothered me about Dragon Age as I wanted my Noble to look very well kept and clean shaven at the start and then slowly become more scruffy by the end but unfortunately I couldn't do that.

Possibly. Look at Assassin's Creed 2, that game spanned 14 years I think, and Ezio didn't really change much over that span.

Since BioWare is obsessive over the details, count on him showing some sorts of age.

Honestly, if Hawke does age, I'd like to be able to pick a before and after, and have the character slowly transition between the two.

I have mixed feelings about this. I understand that a change in appearance is more realistic. But, when I spend the time customizing a character I want them to stay that way. I hope if they go this route you can at least toggle aging on or off in the game options menu.
