why should I have confidence in their ability when they are fixing things that aren't broken?

Stop implying that the devs thought there were 'things wrong' with DAO.

This is just a different story and must be told a different way. You really have to get yourself into that mindset.

Or just refuse to suck it up and whine instead, like the other 99%.

Yes and no. It''s a Bioware game, pretty much all Bioware games are good, but it sounds like Mass Effect, not a traditional CRPG. Also in a press release, the Bioware man said the game would look "super hot" I think like some sort of Crysis RPG it be mind blowing,. but the screenshots are disappointing, downright ugly in fact.

I can't wait to own this game! and I think that the changes will be for the better. The story part is what got me most excited. The whole playing the 3 or 4 different areas in any order is getting stale now and I'm glad you're changing that.

I have played every single bioware game since Knights of the Old Republic. These amazing developers have done an awesome job in every single game. I have no doubt they will continue to amaze us with DA2. Keep up the great work guys!

Yea, they are great and the best at RPGs, I just hope EA,  won't tell David to make some half ass story to make a fast buck, hes better then thet and so is BiOWARE.

One last time. David Gaider is not the lone person making Dragon Age 2.

Just want to say that David, you have my full support behind DA2.

I know that DA2 will be truly epic.

Just keep on doing what you do; I'll be sitting here, and waiting patiently for the masterpiece to come out next year :)

I loved Mass Effect. I loved ME2 so much more upon playing it that I was convinced I could never play ME again. The sequel was just that much better. I fully expect that DA:2 will be the same head and shoulders above DA:O. Bioware is very selective about the improvements that they make, and every game they make is better than the last. I am very excited to play Dragon Age 2 when it comes out.

This is not ME and has a better story that "could have been told" but they  go with the flow of ME fans, yea they want this to ME and so they want all you ME fans to take over DA, so it is to be.....what a damn killer and yea I was a ME fan, but never wanted the two to come as one.............but hell what else is new.

Please don't put words in my mouth.  I very much enjoyed Dragon Age: Origins, and absolutely do not want it turned into another Mass Effect.  My point was that I trust Bioware to make Dragon Age 2 an even more enjoyable game than Dragon Age: Origins.

I was about to post the same sentiment.

I've enjoyed every game Bioware has put out on its own merits. I loved Mass Effect, I loved Dragon Age and Neverwinter Nights brought me 7 years of entertainment alongside a lot of people I'd class as friends.

I really like the idea of telling the tale of a continent and an age, it's different from the short bursts people are used to and has some real scope. The setting of DA is perfect for it, being so well realised, it's comfortable and entertaining while having enough twists on the basics to stand on its own.

I'm excited, but find it hard to share that enthusiasm here amongst the hyperbole and I know many people who call me mad for even coming here to read up on things. I'd love to discuss the world with the writing guys who post up here and wish I could be surprised the opportunity is squandered by posts accusing them of everything from treason to insanity.

It's hard work and takes a lot of effort to put out quality, I'm looking forward to the trailer and more information as it comes, based on what I've seen before I've got high hopes and that's possible to judge without being willing to sacrifice a hundred virgins to David Gaider or polishing my pitchfork and brutally abusing ellipses in my posts.

I too am excited, and I haven't seen anything that's really put me off the game. It seems insane to me to go insane over a few scant details. It just seems silly to me.
