The robes were fine but the hats and helmets for mages were horrible. Lots of the warrior/rogue helmets looked kind of lame too. I really liked the ones with the wings on the sides though. But yeah mage robes could use some improvement.

Just remove the condom hats, that's all I ask. Either give me a pointy hat or let me wear a headband or something, just not the damn condom hats.

I really, REALLY hope we get some better robes (I always play mages). I liked the robes in DA:O, although there should have been a sidequest where you could go around Ferelden and collect every single mage head armor and burn it for two-thousand experience points. Still, a developer stated that the clothing would be more interesting in DA2 in the other thread about this.
PS. Though Gandalf is absolutely aweomse, I refuse to wear a pointy hat.

I still think cloaks should be their top priority.

Why not give mages earrings? They'll give us bonus stats without forcing players to walk around with a bag of holding on their heads.

I think that circlets would be the perfect head gear for mages. They look cool, elegant, and are unobtrusive and are almost never mistaken for a birth-control device.

Well, those mage concept arts looked pretty damn spiffy, so I remain cautiously optimistic.
Hopefully we'll get more than two robe models this time around. And yeah, for headgear, just give us circlets and hoods, and we'll be good.
Death to head cones!!

I liked the Tevinter robes. Although I'd kill to get the above robes, and the headgear was ridiculous.

I always loved the robes on the moon elf sample character in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book. He's the fourth from the left. http://www.wizards.c...eople/Elves.jpg

Ugh enough with the crappy Dynasty Warriors outfits.
I liked the robes in DA:O, there just wasn't enough variety.
And yes, the headgear was terrible.

it is too much to ask for customization for robes? Like armor in Mass Effect 2?
I'd love some black/silver or black/red robes.....minus the hats....

I just thought of something I forgot to mention. In the concept art (http://dragonage.wik...or_Dragon_Age_2), the mage's robes are awesome! I absolutely LOVE the idea of having pants and a traditional...skirt(?) that leaves the front open for male robes. The whole design of those robes is awesome. I'd actually like some more masculine-style outfits for the females; not manly, necessarily, but something with pants. Not a huge deal, but I think it'd be cool.
