If you programs don't need it, they don't use it. They work side by side, 11 is not a new version, it a separate product.

You really could just run the installers for DX 9, DX 10 and DX 11, and then for .Net 3.5, and .Net 4.0, ( then there are 2 C++ redistributables which are needed for skywings stuff ), if you don't need it for NWN2, you will end up needing them for some other game. If you already have them, it would just make sure they are updated - what often ships with games are very old versions dated from when the game was released.

Been trying to come up with a way that packages them up and makes them easier to install as needed. In reading the microsoft documentation they actually say you should not detect if it's installed but re-run their web installer again to make sure it's fully updated and not corrupted somehow. There is no simple way to check programatically if you even have direct x 9 installed, as it just lists the highest version you happen to have, and microsoft says programmers should not rely on versions stated at all. Their installers are equipped with code to make sure all the files are correct in the system for the install, and i know it corrected some things in my install that windows update did not seem to notice when i first ran it.

hmm, running the "NWN2Lanuncher" as administrator, seem to prevent my com from freezing, which i think is my only problem, as i have been able to enter the game. So if other people out there have problem with your com freezing when trying to update, do this.

Right click the "NWN2Lanuncher" and use the "run as administrator"

I have played this game for the first time. I never seen it till I got if from Game Stop on digital download and got all the additional content. I have a windows 7 x64 with 8Gigs of ram has ran fine all the way up to the third battle at the Keep. When the main bad guy (forgot his name) comes in through the main gate during the cut scene. It looks like he is a little to close to some guards and they start hitting him during the cut scene and he never summons Nightwalker. So you a in battle you can never win. Anyone know how to fix this Please it has been a game I wish I wouldn't have missed when it came out. I love RPGs. I can't believe I missed this one.
