Neverending Nights is a NWN Machinima. I could rattle on about us - but you can check our history (but to briefly recap - we were in PC GAMER UK, Interviewed by Bioware, Machinima 2005 Film Festival, Machinima for Dummies book, contracted by Atari for NWN2, etc etc)... So head to the history portion to read up about us if you're interested!

We also made profile pages for just about every character (and you can even see who plays what part in the series)!

We have unlimited bandwidth, so I welcome you ALL to download ALL of our episodes and tell all of your friends, family, facebook people, MySpace people, Twitter people, and whatever other kind of people you might have! Those videos are available for download on our video page which has brief descriptions about each video (including some comments about what we liked or didn't like and such! It's a good read if nothing else!) For those less inclined to download, there's also our official Neverending Nights Youtube Channel.

For the Social Site aspect - you can either join us on Facebook, Twitter or even swing by our own forum!

And while you're at it, you should check out the Travis Richards Webpage - he has done all of our music from Season 2 going forward! And he's given us some incredible music!

Feel free to ask any questions, comment on any videos, etc - I will gladly hear the good and the bad!

Oaky, this episode may basically be filler, but it still kinda kicks rocks! There's some good, funny bonus material and it is good to see the astounding one again. However, do Peter and Grayson really need somebody else after them? :P

By the time this series comes to an end - all of these story lines will have wrapped up nicely! Alan the Astounding's storyline was originally slated for Season 2 (but he was unable to record future episodes, so we scrapped that storyline and introduced Daniel the Destructive). Since he managed to commit again to recording, I wanted to wrap up his storyline in Season 3 (because I am a completionist like that!) :D

And now, Episode 55 is available! And this episode - if you're familiar with Leisure Suit Larry or Sierra Online - has a very, very, very, very special guest!

So go check it out.

So Alan is a “playa”? Good for him! Posted Image

I liked this episode, but yes it was filler.

But, just as the title explained it, the public demanded some astonishing moments from Alan… The Astounding. Posted Image

Oh, I did miss the old Halfling mage and his eccentric performance! Posted Image

Lol, actually, the title did make me laugh. “Back By (Somewhat) Popular Demand” is a great title.

Well played, Tawmis, well played. Posted Image

Congratulations for the big cameo, Tawmis! Posted Image

I agree that it must be a great honour to get the support from one of your icons. Posted Image

NeN deserves a great final season and you are certainly doing a great job! Thanks, Tawmis! Posted Image

OMG! So Peter is also a “playa”? And he seems to be even a better “playa” than Alan... The Astonishing.  Who would have guessed? Posted Image

And we even had some simple guidelines in how to meet chicks! This episode was entertaining and educational!

Thanks, Al Lowe! Posted Image

Funny episode, Tawmis! We all love to see Grayson being tormented by reality! Posted Image

Can´t wait for the next episode!

Quick question. Did you or somebody in your group produce a machinima tutorial based on the nwn engine a long time ago?

Well, sometimes when any one of us gets too much alcohol in our system, we tend to think we're "playas"... but speaking of "playas"... you just might REALLY enjoy the next episode...

This episode... It was written as filler. I wanted a chance to show Alan the Astounding and Diane the Drinker (only natural those two would meet) - without having Peter and Grayson over shadow it. So I wanted to dedicate an
episode to the two of them meeting. I believe I have already explained how the whole drinking thing came about for Alan the Astounding. For Diane the Drinker (who is played by Sara, who created the saying that
became so famous within the series - "That kicks rocks!") - she got the name of Drinker, not because she's a boozer. But she appreciates her wine. So I thought it'd be a fun thing to give her a drinking title and
have her meet Alan the Astounding (who was a drinker... when he had his magic pouch).

And now that Alan has officially mentioned, and named his pouch, and why he wants it - a long time ago, Nameless had pointed out how money was inconsistent with Peter and Grayson. One episode they have 5 gold, the next episode they just paid for something that cost 30 gold. This storyline of them stealing Alan's bag, and the
money just appearing was going to be a part of Season 1 and Season 2. But then Chad couldn't record with us, so that story was dropped and Daniel the Destructive was created to fill his role as Andrea's side kick (which was originally slated to be Alan, agreeing to go with her to get his bag back). So there you have the reason why Peter would be nearly broke at times, and at other times, have plenty of money... (he  has no idea it's the bag, so he has no idea how to make it work, other than randomly...)

And as for Alan the Astounding, I am very glad to have him come back so we can finish his storyline.

I thought I was pretty clever with the "somewhat" popular demand bit also! Well that was a nod to all the folks, past and present, who had always enjoyed Alan the Astounding... and I would have loved to have him on board the entire time, but his schedule conflicted... so... like I  said, glad to have him back for the final season so we can do his storyline as originally planned.

This was a very big deal to me. VERY big deal. When I got the audio that began with, "This is Al Lowe reading for Neverending Nights, Episode  55... All Time Lowe..." I nearly burst into tears the first time I heard it. That's right, I am man enough to admit it! But I am not surprised!  Al Lowe has CONSTANTLY been such a down to Earth guy! I have even joked  that I am very closely tied to Al Lowe... because back in the day, there was a magazine made by the company he worked for (Sierra Online) called InterAction... and as a joke, I had dressed up as my best impression of Larry Laffer, the hero of the Leisure Suit Larry series... just as a  joke. They had immediately wrote me back and asked to use my picture for a contest they were going to do for the magazine, inspired by my
photo...! So my picture, modified by the folks at Sierra, appeared in InterAction Magazine as Leisure Suit Larry, of sorts. I have managed to chat with Al Lowe, and made high end photo quality copies of several covers of the Leisure Suit Larry game, as well as Torin's Passage, and with SASE (Self Address/Stamp Enclosed) envelope - he autographed, and even personalized the autographs, for me! Like I said, Al Lowe is everything I want to be in so many ways. Funny, but subtle. And despite the fame, just be down to Earth. (Not that I am close to Al Lowe's fame level - but if it ever did happen, he's the example I'd live by!)

I am definitely going all out with the final season... a few more cool surprises yet to come!

I think, NeN, at it's core has always been about the strafe between Peter and Grayson - their dynamic is what really makes up the entire series. I think during Season 2, I focused too much on story perhaps, and got too far away from that dynamic. This season, I am doing both story episodes, but remembering that they to NeN's success, I think, is how Peter and Grayson react to one another. One of those key elements is Grayson not understanding how Peter does some of the things he does... even when they're simply bad ideas... they somehow work... and Peter's dumb luck seems to carry him through, much to Grayson's often-found frustration! Season 3 really started off with Peter and Grayson going at it (in the prison cell) and that same idea is now carrying onward, and continuing to affect Grayson! Fun, fun, fun stuff. The next episode continues this episode along the same lines...

Hey Tarot!

We have been at this since November 2004... But we never put together any form of tutorial for producing machinime with NWN... By the gods, it's been a learning experience through and through... I think we have improved a little with each episode, because we keep learning. (Or I do anyway, since I do all the filming, writing, editing, etc these days!) I would be curious to see if someone DID create a tutorial... and see how they'd recommend doing some of these things!

I asked because there used to be a link on the old bioboards to such a tutorial. Unfortunately that link was broken years ago. I also asked because I was considering doing the opening movie for a module in machinima because getting text to be readable in those is a pain. And because it would convey the meaning so much better.

Anyway, I would wish you luck with your movies but after 50+ episodes that'd be a bit redundant. So I'll just say break a (pixellated) leg instead.

So Al Lowe allowed "All Time 'Lowe'" as the appellation -- astounding! (No, I'm not talking about Alan. :P) Hmm, would Grayson prefer if Peter proffered pick-up procedures rather than accepting Al's authoritative arguments about the art of arranging attraction? This is too much for me; I think I'll have a beer before I begin to.......no..must stop.............babbling. Argh! =]

I was curious to what you were looking for and found the reference.. It's from the folks who did the NWN movie thing "Blood Spell." The article (from what I have gathered) used to be on Machinima.com - but about two or three months ago, in all of their brilliance, they apparently archived 98% of their messages. The reason I know this - is the original Neverending Nights thread that was on there and about 7 or 8 pages deep disappeared in that "archiving" that they did.

You could probably head to the site for the folks that did Blood Spell and dig around there (or ask one of their staff) is they still have it since it appears to have vanished from Machinima.com ...

Hope that at least helps somewhat?

Yes, well Al Lowe is all kinds of awesome. I love this commercial for the game he was developing called Sam Suede that unfortunately became doomed when iBase went under. Check out this Sam Suede Commercial on Youtube.

Third episode in one week...

Neverending Nights - Episode 56: "Funkafied!" This episode features another very special guest to me. This one is Greg Johnson. You may be asking yourself, "Who is Greg Johnson?" Well let me educate you in the ways of Greg Johnson's Funkafied Fame! Greg Johnson is one half of the team that made the incredible series, "Toejam & Earl." To say the outlandish humor and zanniness of this game was beyond amazing would be an understatement! I remember spending days on this game, especially with my good friends Tammy & Chuck Stevens! Greg is an extremely busy person, but he took a moment out of his hectic schedule to lend us a voice when I asked! I can't thank Greg enough for doing this! So sit back and prepare to be Funkafied!

Funkadelic!! A fine episode, my man. You obviously have a high film-fu this week and have delivered both quality and quantity. Kudos to the man with many friends in high places.

Now if only Grayson could just cheer up. Hmm, what does he really have to be bringing him down? Sure, the Crimson Draco are after him, and Peter drives him nuts, and the ladies tend to ignore him..........Meh, I think it's just his armor that makes him blue. :P

LOL! Nice one about the armor comment! Next episode, the adventure continues (as we move on away from the tavern episodes) and get back on track... the next few segments will be very fun and really begin to weave various parts of the story all together.

Episode 57 has been released!

Neverending Nights – Episode 57 – Pawn of the Dead. Amiee the Armorer discovers some useful information and shares it with Peter and Grayson, sending them on their quest to reignite the Blade of Destiny. However, nothing is ever easy as Peter and Grayson discover that Amiee the Armorer didn’t exactly fill them in on some of the more… dangerous parts of the mission that lay between them and their goal.

Great job, Tawmis! You had me going, thinking Peter and Grayson were getting by that army rather easily.............and then gravity struck! I'm glad to see they haven't lost their touch for misadventure, and you still have yours for subtle references.

It's always a matter of time when something's going to go wrong with Peter and Grayson!

I love doing nods and subtle references where I can to things I enjoy, love or that have inspired me one way or another! :-)

Yeah, Tawmis is still at it. He's bringing us the third (and final) season and lots of things are going on. I doubt you'll regret taking a bit of time to catch up again.

Indeed, would love to hear your thoughts if you revisit the series. (At least now if you watched all the way to Episode 23, you don't need to wait for new episodes) - they're out all the way to Episode 64. I am doing one more that's a recap - life's been hectic - so I haven't got to it. I was hoping for end of March, but every weekend seems consumed by alternate plans that come up (weddings and the like) that I can't really say, "Hey, I'd like to go but I got to film this episode of Neverending Nights, you see..."
