The PS3 version is just awful for performance. I traded it in (along with 4 other games to get a PSP bundle) but I didn't regret it.......but now I am. I want this game but I want to be able to play it. How is the 360 version? Does it suffer from a bunch of slow/stuttery combat? I will install it to my HDD but I just want to know if the purchase will be worth it.

I play from the HDD on a first-gen 360 and haven't noticed a lot of stuttering in combat. I'm also a pause-freak, though, so it's possible I wouldn't notice. You'll probably want to deactivate Song of Courage for conversations. For some reason, rendering large purple gas clouds on your entire party while zoomed in close causes a lot of slowdown. I expect there might be similar problems with an Arcane Warrior (I haven't played one yet), given the sheer number of sustainables that build favors.

I haven't played DAO on the PS3, so I can't give you a direct comparison. My understanding is the 360 version has slightly lower graphics settings but steadier framerate.

I've tested both versions and there is no difference in graphics. The only thing i noticed was the brightness. If there is any difference, it's really small.

The framerate is awful on the PS3 compared to the 360. And the 360 version is awful compared to the PC. The best choice is of course the PC version. The only framerate problems I've gotten on the 360 was when i stacked many auras at once, and when they were introduced in a cut-scene / dialogue.

I'd take a look around on the xbox 360 tech forum first, before I'd decide to buy that version.

It has several game-breaking bugs and most of us have given up hope for a fix, since some of these problems have existed for over 6 months now with no real feedback from the devs for a decent patch

you know whats said is i think all 3 version have some major bugs even the PC version has performance issues right now last i heard cause of patch 1.03

uuuh ??? gamebreaking bugs on the 360???
i don't have that much of a problem on my 360
apart from that i  sometimes lose parts of the audio but only some tracks but not all the audio,
sometimes its just some of the voices never all of the voices just one or two depending on the situation
other time its the music  or effects that are missing  and only for a few seconds(Weird)
99% of the time it runs perfectly (think i have a second gen 360) 
with a good framerate

i'm starting to think its an MS problem

Buy it used. The xbox version has gotten terrible support from Bioware. If your going to pick it up don't reward them for giving xbox gamers the shaft.

If possible you really should go with the pc version, if the CTD's are fixed with the patch, we've been waiting nine months for a real patch on the xbox, while the pc has had modders do all the fixes months ago, many of which we will never even see on the consoles.

well the 360 version is currently dead and unavailable to play. dont rebuy it. not worth it. trust me. ull be dissapointed. spend ur money on a new game.
