But Mass Effect is already already a franchise with two main games, an iPod spinoff, (almost) three books, one comic series finished, another to come and a film on the horizon.

They just cleverly manage to dance around the parts where a canon would normally be required, instead focusing on what every Shepard did and not what he/she could've done/been.

That being said, most of the consequences so far are pretty small because of the maintaining of any continuity, but I'd honestly rather see that than the devs suddenly deciding for us.

Ehm... OK.

So they say whe are going to diffrent regions in the Free Marches?

Does this include Nevarra though it is not technicly part of the Free Marches?

I am intrested in Nevarra cuz, wel, they where famous for there Dragon Hunters and where close to the TI.

Maybe they know something about the Old Gods as well...

There is something I missed in this article (OP). The gap between emergence of the Archies. It is 200 years almost every time. Except when the Elven hero Garahel killed Andoral, it took them 400 years... Any thoughts?

propably some kind of desteny calling. and the 4 centuries are easy to be explained. there could be one falling before even rising to power, so no1 mentions him. the dreams only start as soon as a blight already begun (i guess) but some dragon just uncovered and slain right after that....

Well in Awakening it was said the Archdemon awakend because of the Architect.
Why it took longer for the Darkspawn to find the Archdemon this time around, I don't know maybe they where to busy fighting the dwarves.

As for Mages, I hope the Blood Mage will learn to summon Demons, like the crazy Hermit or Avernus.

Okay my following statement has no links to back it up but what if the reason blood Mage's of the present are not as powerful because and this is just theory The blood used in the TI time was tainted blood, like the research the Mage in the soldiers peak DLC was trying to accomplish but couldn't for some reason.

According to the Andrastian Chantry she was a slave who waged war against the Imperium when they where weakend after a Blight.
The Imperial Chantry however thinks she was a powerful mage (wich would explain the healing powers of her Ashes, though Oghren comments that there is a lot of lyrium in the aream wich could also be the case).
I personally think she was a strong mage possesed by a Fade spirit (like Wynne), wich made her believe in the Maker stronger (thinking it was the Maker who spoke to her, but in truth it was the spirit).

I intend to start topics on the following things: Andraste, Arlathan, Flemeth and Darkspan. Just like this one.

Hard facts:  Andraste was a real person. She was a Mage. She did contact someone in the fade. If she was  possesed.. it was like Wynne and NOT the Baroness. She also had children. And rest I will put into another post.

I agree that Blood Magic had to be more powerfull in the past, but because it is outlawed in most countrys in Thedas I think it weakend to the Blood Magic we see today.

Een mede Hollander! :D

I have to say that I don't know what to think of Morrigan/Flemeth in the sequel, although I will probably prefer whoever she is a role like this, less active than Morrigan, but more so than Flemeth from Origins.

I like the facial design for Hawke and his sister, also seems like the dialogue wheel will not be as bad as many fear either.

well imo she was guided by some powerfull fade spirit, hoping to get more power by manipulating the beliefs of the simple minded humans. some kind of demon of pride or something....^^
