Boss drop's for DA2 Idea

Okay soo in DA:O there were pretty cool boss fights the high dragon, the sloth demon, the scatterd abomanations, and of course the archdemon. but when they died i was hopeing for an epic item  and yes they did drop nice stuff but nothing to jump with joy about. My idea for DA2 is that the higher the diffeculty the better the stats are for the boss loot and maybe even more loot for higher diff. so here is my idea.


Nightmare=badass loot and more loot

and the easier its gets it loses stats and maybe a few items.

What do you guys think?:D

Ive come to the conclusion that this was a bad idea.... oops.

No. This is forcing you to play on particular difficulty. Difficulty levels are here to ensure player's enjoyment. Maniacs and masochists can go to hell. Play on you nightmare but don't force others.

better gear for higher difficulty would result in a lower difficulty for higher difficulty levels and other way round on lower diff. lvls.

? But the item stats for your difficulty we be just as strong for you as they would be the harder it gets..... the "main" piece of gear could always drop and look just as cool but the stats would increase for harder gameplay.

No I think that's a pretty bad idea, for the reasons stated by LordGremlin.

I hope they get rid of random drops for unique items too, this has no place in a game without instances/respawn imo.

yep but if you had an sword with much more damage on nightmare the weapon is stronger. ergo is the game gettin easier. other way round on easy. would be 2 hard to balance.....

i guess it would take time to get it just right Hence keeping nightmare a nightmare even with the leet loot and keeping easy easy.. i guess this idea just doesnt work for this game after all darn thought i had something here.

Why do you want better gear if you play at a more difficult level? It kind of defeats the purpose of turning up the difficulty, as well as turning it down.

Besides it would lead to stupid metagaming tricks : crank the difficulty up right before you deal the killing blow to a boss, get ph4t l00t, drop the difficulty back down.

Okay as i stated before it will not work i was not thinking into it hard enough but do your guys agree that the loot from dragon and bosses from DA:O were a lil disappointing?

It was adequate. What loot can a dragon drop? His own scales and other body parts, some indigestible armor.

Would be nice if bosses dropped some unique items related to the boss itself.

Something like The Black Vials actually starting a quest where each of the 6 revenants would drop a piece of a set. I always thought the revenants looked awesome, and it would be even better if the player could wear their armour for themself.

As mentioned before I'd much prefer unique loot to drop 100% of the time off the boss it's supposed to drop off. Having to reload an entire bossfight just because you got a silly helmet rather than the sword you wanted is frustrating.

Yes but this is a video game its not real soo..... yea so in your reason means that every single soldier we killed we should have been able to recover their entire suit of armor and weapons and pocket money... but since it isnt real we could only pick up say one or two items per kill:devil:
