Loghain. Loghain. Loghain.

I'd force him to come along. That would require me playing the game again and letting him live this time but I love my Loghain.

But he was sent to Oralis in Awakening.

Depends on the timeframe of the game. If it starts with Hawke fleeing Fereldan then Loghain would still be alive, at least for a time. But of course, he's in Denerim, rather than the Free Marches. After that he's either dead (at the Landsmeet or by the Archdemon) or else he's in Orlais, so unless we go to Orlais in DA2, it seems unlikely that we'd see him after that. (Which is a shame because he's by far my favourite NPC, but there you go).

The cameos in Dragon Age : Awakening were very cheesy and bad. I thought he was going to offer to kiss my bum cheeks at one point, no longer a bad ass but a destroyed man who sounds like he should be cast in "glee". If he shows up in Dragon Age 2, no "Hey yo dudes, it's me, how r thou?" straight to business, the player knows who is he and if he doesn't, put it in the manual.

Well, given that he's dead at least 50% of the time ( I expect more, actually), seeing him seems unlikely, but if his resurrected remains were to show up, I would certainly kill him if my PC had any idea who he was. The people of Lothering have more reason than most to hate him.

Cameos might be dependent on the save you transfer from Origins :)

If Loghain was in DA2, I would seriously preorder the game right now.

That's a good idea. If game reads you have played it, no need to bother with "my name is bla bla bla and I was bla bla bla" player already know.

He is SO dead in every single playthrough for me, so I would be very confused and worried that my game is bugged.

An appearance by Anora, however, would be welcome, so that I could finally get rid of her for good. It would do my Grey Warden and Alistair a favor, by not having to worry about her scheming from whatever tower she's been banished to.

Would love to see him pop up. As has already been said, he might well be alive for everyone for some of the time of 'DA2'. And later on, he could still pop up as an option. Either Alistair or him, obviously. So everyone with taste gets their Loghain, and all the weird girls who like boys that need their diapers changed lest they cry can have their Alistair.

Oralis, eh? Guess that's why they call it 'French'.

He'll probably have a cameo in the prologue in Lothering. A brief cameo, as he's marching through with his troops from Ostagar.

LOL, all right, that was cruel...*

They said choices will carry through so hopefully we'll see him again if we let him live in the previous game.

Oh, he has his moments. But on my female playthrough, I just couldn't bear the idea of my character having to run after Alistair, make all his decisions for him and hold his hand whenever he's upset, cause that seemed what he needed. Some people might be into that kind of straight dom-sub relationship, but I prefer dom-dom for constant sparks and never-ending fun.

By comparison, the other three romance options all seemed confident and capable of handling themselves. Alistair never gives off that vibe. How could you trust him not to get lost in the Pearl on his way home and misplace the castle keys while he's there? It makes for a great statement on unlikely heroes, but I generally find him hard to bear. Loghain on the other hand is a supposed strategical mastermind (even if he never shows it in the game), and strikes me as far more useful to have around. Of course, playing as a male is far more easier. Marry Anora, keep Leiliana and Zevran on the side after Morrigan has run off with my kid and use Loghain to run my dark errands.

Damn it, I want  a fantasy kingdom sim with RPG elements based around my rulership of Ferelden.

I doubt that, since I let Alistar to cut his betrayer head off.
