 Over the past few years and indeed in the last few Bioware games we seem to have lost our ability to be evil. For example in Mass effect and Dragon age you are saving the Galaxy/country, you can be a ******** to everyone while you do it but in the end you are still being the good guy. I don't always go for the evil option, usually just the option that will result in me have more power, which to be honest is usually the evil option. That's what i loved about Jade Empire so much, it gave me chance to become the Emperor. If Dragon age had truly given us the chance to be powerful/evil we could of declared ourselves King of Orzammar (if dwarf) or Fereldan (if human) and then ruled the other through a puppet king. I really hope we get the chance to be like that in DA2, for example when you become Champion of Kirkwall, you could rule the city using the Viscount as your puppet.

well, DA2 sounds more open ended than DA:O since it has been said that you get to shape exactly how Hawke becomes an important historical figure, so hopefully you can be the super evil guy who runs the Free Marches through tyranny (A LA King Arland from warden's keep)

Yeah, it's been a long time since a truly evil Bioware romp. I miss binding Deaths Hand to my will and having Zalbaar kill Mission. Good times, and times I'd like to see emulated in DA2.

Yeah, I am thinking it may be possible to abuse the fame and clout you receive from becoming Champion of Kirkwall and use it to selfishly seize power and wealth.



You never know, but I'm sure since you are not saving the world I think it may be possible to have a more "evil" ending then what happened in DAO.

That's sounds like it's possible, but how long does Blood Magic mind control last, and how much blood wil it take?

shouldnt be that hard, especially if you control the king into giving you "blood sacrifices" to keep your power going....

There are some pretty wicked things that can be done in DAO with an evil character with a little ingenuity.

well, i dont usually go evil in games with choices like this... but it doesnt mean i cant think of ways of being evil, or help other people have fun being evil....

I thought that Hawke would unite the Free Marche ( so there is some civil war going on ) and after that maybe you can choose to go to war, or improve trade relations or something like that.

My first char is always the good guy, but I always plan on my 2nd run through being the bad guy. BUT DAMMIT I CAN NEVER DO IT! I just feel so bad and guilty. It's stupid but I have an overactive conscience

This isn't striclty true. Bio's forced us to save the world (or some small part of it)  in earlier games too. BG1, BG2, NWN1, SoU.

If you came in with KotOR, it's not surprising that you'd think evil options had decreased, but that game was something of an outlier for Bioware.

I do the same 1st playthrough good, but when I tried to be evil my second playthrough Alistar wouldn't stop ****ing so i went the good way.

Hawke, the Champion of Kirkwall, a mage, shows his/her sister, Bethany, the true power of Blood Magic. Together they organise a powerful organization of Blood Mages, that overthrow the Chantry and wreck the Catherdral of Val Royeaux.

I always have the same problem. I feel guilty. It's crazy.
