anyone else notice this detail? If you look at the cover art of DA2, the wings of the dragon behind Hawke have people in them. At the very bottom of the wings, where the white space is are silhouettes of people. I wonder if that's just a cool detail or has some significance in the story?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say they're your possible squaddies.
Also, yes, everyone noticed the first day.

They're the Bearderers, servants of the Great Beard.

I still think it's just representative of Hawke walking "ahead of the crowd".

Me too. I thought the figures just symbolised Hawkes fame...Gill Kaiser wrote...

I think they are various companions and NPCs. The last silhouette on the far right looks like Bethany, it appears to be wearing a robe and has wavy hair. I think they will probably start filling them in as they reveal more information about the game.

Nwm the last message, i misunderstand the 'inside the wings sign' i got those shapes now.
I doubt that they would be companions, I belive that they are represent the crowd or smth.
Or they are the shapes of some key character in the story.

This. Also if you look rrrreeaally close at the Dragon Pic they released so far, each of them have a beard.
Coincidence? *strokes beard*

Saw those people too the same day. The thing I'm curious about though is the dragon's shadow. Is it really just well..like an inkblot or is it a symbol for something. Can't make out what it is...

I'm guessing that they're the narrators and the people who had a great influence on who Hawke is today.

Now I feel ridiculous that I noticed the silhouettes before I noticed the wings. I had to go back and look to confirm that, yup, they're part of the dragon's wings.
I'm hoping for party members, but they'll probably be antagonists/NPCs, too.
