I always hated when I would be running around the deep roads thinking I had killed every thing in that thaig and then a huge spider would drop down and about give me a hard attack with that god awful noise they make. Same with overlord, I dont know how many times I scared myself going around a corner and that damn face popping up and making that noise.
Seems like I'm not the only one who dislikes them. I'm not ashamed to admit I have arachnophobia LOL.

I hear ya. Ever played the mage origin? One of the optional quests had a spider-filled dungeon that was like 10 minutes into the game. My newbie mage turns the corner and this MASSIVE HAIR THING drops from the ceiling behind (yes, BEHIND) him with that awful noise. I needed to press pause, go change my pants, and play the game on mute for a while

I hope not, I totally love to play as a
Ranger spider pet.
Man, you have balls of steel. I gave Leliana one, kept freaking out whenever it appeared at the edge of the screen, and switched her back to the nice-looking wolfie

LOL I'm positive there were no spiders
in both Mass Effects OP.
But yeah I agree, almost EVERY RPG I've
stumbled across has giant spiders. Which I hate. I really, really, hate
spiders.
Off-topic: you have SUCH a handsome warden!

I didn't think that the spiders were that bad, but I must say that Overwhelm (damage aside) grossed me out a LOT.
You can say that again. Try being pressed up against a corner so the camera zooms in REAL close - and this in an Origin story, so I had no other companions to switch to. Reload time!

I wonder what kind of noise they would make as they dropped randomly from the ceiling lol.Mary Kirby wrote...
Generally, I found the giant spiders of DAO creepifying. The last time I tested a plot in DA2, I wound up in battle against dozens upon dozens of identical, naked bald men named "Poison Spider." I think that was worse. Much worse.

How about a naked bald man instead?

It's so annoying, that when I found a woodlouse spider in my shower, I was worrided I would be just one Overwealm away from a game-over screen!
Spiders are bad enough when I have clothes on but when I'm in the nude,my manhood is unprotected? get outta my house.

Suprisingly, woodlouse spiders only eat woodlice AKA pillbugs, so no danger just an unpleasent surprise. I do admit my encounter with the spider this morning inspired my rant on DA spiders.

I wonder if the same went with the initial darkspawn horde at Ostagar... That's even creepier...Mary Kirby wrote...
