It's not true Baldur's Gate, but since I don't know of an active PS:T forum with knowledgable users, I'll post it here.
Are the gods involved in the Blood War? I KNOW it's over as 4th edition, but in the BG universe, it's still going strong. The only mention of it in the Faiths and pantheons book is how Kelemvor maintains a balance of baatzu dealings and taanari raids. Here's an example: does Bane (who lives in the Nine Hells) fight Lloth (who, in 2nd and 3rd editions, lives in the Abyss)? Or are the gods above the Blood War?
Question about the setting.

Not long before Baldur's Gate, Gods did fight each other directly during the Time of Troubles, but that was an exception. The Overgod Ao doesn't approve of Gods interfering directly, let alone fighting each other directly.
It seems the gods are 'fighting' each other more by coaxing their followers into killing other Gods' followers and/or steal away other Gods' followers (hence reducing their power) from each other.
There's of course a nutter like Cyric that murdered Mystra, but that was basically a plot device to remove the goddess of magic so that the magic system could be entirely remade for 4th edition.

No. Occasionally they can get involved, but the only reason of the Blood War is the hatred between demons and devils - gods just don't care.
