If there's one thing that annoyed in Origins, it's that our companions cannot walk. It's so silly when they just stop and run, stop and run. And, honestly, it ruined immersion for me.
What do you guys think?
Will our companions be able to actually walk this time?

Yeah, Thought they are programmed to follower your character. This would explain a lot. Plus they sometimes get off screen and then appear out of nowhere.

I'd love for them to be able to walk. At least in non-combat areas. This isn't the army where everything is accomplished at a brisk jog.

Would be cool if they could swim

While they're at it, they should make them fly tooGames4ever wrote...

And companions who can randomly burst through walls like the Kool-Aid man in the old commercials.

And after they went swimming, their clothes should be all clingy and semi-seethrough.
Good thing we don't have Oghren in our party this time around, or do we?

How about companions who can stagger drunkenly, like Henpecked Hou?

...or crawl, if need be? Could always misappropriate the dog skeleton for the animations...

Noobius, if the inability to walk in DA "ruined the immersion for you" then apparently pretty much anything can and there is no way that you'll enjoy DA2 no matter how good they make the game.
Some people are such whiners.

Agreed. At first I thought it a bug, later I knew it was a clumsy developing mistake.

I'll be completely honest. Of all the things right or wrong with DA:O, the fact my companions ran all the time was at the very bottom of any list of complaints.
This is one of those things that I really, really hope BioWare spends zero time on overhauling, if it means taking even one minute of development time away from something else.

It seems like a super-easy thing to implement too. When the walk/run toggle is pressed, just apply that to the whole group instead of just the character being controlled at the moment.
