Furthermore congratulations on coming up with a better more classical Darkspawn design but don't forget that it wont matter if the darkspawn look frightening if they are no stronger still than some common thieves. The Darkspawn needs to be tough opponents in combat.

The lighting? The lighting is fine. It looks like it has a source and is bright. Certainly stands out compared to DA:O
Sure does.

I'm pretty sure the Game Informer shots were taken from a console, since GI is a mostly Console magazine.
DA 2 will probably look significantly better on PC.

You're being sarcastic?
As a mentioned above, you've compared outdoor shots to indoor shots.
Secondly, those indoors shots have absolutely shocking lighting. Look at the state on the second shot - where the hell is the lighting coming from there? It's an overbright, inconsistent, oversaturated mess.
Your last shot looks like it comes from 2003. It has the remarkable dual attribute of having no natural ambient light, while at the same time being too bright. That really isn't a good example.
The new shots look far more natural and balanced.
Try harder.

I'm really glad it's not cartoon graphics (like the kotor mmo, ugh ugliest game ever seen) but I'm still sort of disappointed to see that bioware are seemingly unable to prioritize the right things graphically. Theese screens sort of seem to indicate that Bioware, once again, go overboard with effects, textures and polygons, forgetting that realism and atmosphere stems instead from living breathing enviroments and well animated characters. You can have all those shiny textures if you want to but don't forget the basic stuff that was missing in Origins; Real backgrounds and skies aswell as long drawdistance, solid framerate and more outdoor semi-open enviroments that allow for exploration.

The environments need work, I'll admit, as does the sense of atmosphere. But that may come later with a more complete version.

Still looks better imo.
So now you're comparing an oversaturated night shot to a bright daylight shot? Also, check out that texture detail on the floor of that shot. It's not exactly different.
Your last shot: Yeah, that's actually pretty good (outside flemeth's hut?)

No, it doesn't.
All I read is "it's bad" without any response from you to my points.
Respond in an objective manner to the points raised, then we'll move on.

Obviously it looks like a PS2, hell no, even PS1 game with low polys and low-res textures, because... beause I don't like the looks of it !
<cue in screenshot of another game that doesn't look technically superior to DAO but features some more agreeable natural environment, and lots of blur and shiny reflections to hide its weaknesses>

It may. But I'm worried when I see the singlecoloured backgrounds and skies <_< In Origins when you looked at the horizon you'd often see a single coloured silhouette of some mountain with a grey cloudless sky behind it reminding you very much of world of warcraft.
I mean christ even Knights of the Old Republic on xbox had great backgrounds so I don't what the hell they are doing nowadays.

Hmm, I wonder it those screenies are taking place in the Fade...
If so, then it looks far worse than the fade in first game.
