It's a troll and I salute him / her.

One of the screens even says Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Demo.  For TF2. No one even puts effort into trolling on this forum, quite sad.

I do wonder whether DA 2 will clarify on a certain amount of plot threads left by the books and the game, such as well clarification on whether Alistair was the son of Fiona and Maric and what exactly did Maric promise Flemeth all those years ago.

You were replying to someone who said TeamFortress 2's graphics were bad. You said yup. You then randomly post different screenshots.  What the heck does Bad Company 2 have to do with it? Go to an MMO forum, read it for a while, learn to troll from the experts there, and then come back.

Well yea, for objective comparison with other games in the genre. Which are all copy-paste super gritty realism for the most part than any tinted "I feel". The game obviosly looks good and stands out from the crowd.  Dragon Age 2 looks like Dragon Age, but a wee bit blander. Team Fortress 2 is a prime example of how a new direction should be done. Valve are fabulous, obviously.

Better than the last ones at least; if it keeps improving I'll buy the game. I don't expect it to be Uncharted 2 or Crysis 2 but it needs to look at least as good as DAO, which it almost does now. Other than that, the DARKspawn. Don't see much dark in there. I wouldn't mind if they had looked like that in DAO, but you can't just change the enemies I've been fighting for 600+ hours (multiple playthroughs!) and make them look like that. Maybe they are Lightspawn, the Darkspawn's distant cousins?

Fair enough, but DA:O's graphics weren't exactly gritty and realistic. The bit i've bolded, I can agree with. Zelda: Windwaker is a classic example of this.

However, I don't think the new graphics are "cartoony". I think people are making the mistake of associating the colour palette used in the screenshots to those used in other, more cel-like games (like TF2, as you've shown).

Hmm... you're joking, but Hawke being one of Flemeth's children is actually... plausible.

Kidding, kidding. I didn't hate DA2 before, I just love the game so much I'm trying to love the entire stories too. So now anything I like sells me. Hey Devs, could you throw in a boyish haircut for girls like they just got all their hair cut off? That would be WICKED xD

Okay, the skin no longer appears to be decaying rotting flesh. From this angle it looks like some dude with a skin condition, the hurlocks look like grandpas with unhinged jaws.  Before even on medium on the PC you had a rotting, decaying, gray skinned horror feasting on flesh the first time to see it. Then it runs at you and it will pick you up and CRUSH you if you aren't dextrous enough or if your party members can't stop it. It was this huge monstrous beast and it felt ..threatening. It was scary and it never looked bad to me. Some of the hurlock scenes looked like lizard men and that killed it but then you had OGREs, everytime I ran into one it was like DANGIT or OHCRAAAP. Now it generally seems underdeveloped and not nearly as @_@. It really does just look like it got a bad case of the freckles. Not to mention what was probably a direction in reminding us of how eerily darkspawn are bred, the corrupted vessel of a once non tainted race, more or less ended up making it look like an old folks home.

Looks decent. Not 'super hot' as they claimed it would be, but it definitely looks like it'll be a step up from DA: O.

in the 4th screenshot.... is that smoke rising in the distance? .... just wanted to bring that up if people were thinking about plain background art. I get that it could be a wasteland or the top of some mountain or something. But really... if I was just hanging out in some wasteland or in the desert with some dude... and he would turn to me and say "man... this looks so plain" "...what?" "yeah... there's nothing here... it could really use some stuff." "dude... we're in a wasteland..." "yeah but... look the sky is one color... and the ground is brown..." I would slap the s**t out of him!

All I'm saying is, that they may not have chosen the ideal location to take their first few screenshots. Just reserve judgement until you see something from a city or a forest... hell even an interior screenshot.
