So.

Recently i was playing ME2, during the mission of getting the right of passage for Grunt on Tuchanka.
During the worm fight (whatever the thing is called again), ME2 crashed, along with my computer. Nothing worked, so i just shut down my computer at once, and restarted. Upon replaying ME2, i found out that ALL my info was gone. All my achievements lost in an instant. What the ****.

My question; how could this have happened? How do i retrieve my achievements again from before the crash (i guess the achievement/info file is overriden, or the old one from before the crash is somewhere, hell if i know.
If this is not possible, is it possible to hack/override your achievements file so that you can edit achievements?

I was doing the game on insanity, i want to edit that achievement one in aswell, as i don't want to redo my game..

Thanks.

There's a file called Player1.prf stored in My Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect 2\\BIOGame\\Profile that contains all your achievement data. It must have somehow been corrupted in the crash. (Why, I can't tell you, unless it was writing to the file at that very moment.) If you have your computer set to keep back-ups of that file, there may be a version from before the corruption that you can restore under Properties. Otherwise, you're out of luck. :/

I don't know of an achievements editor for ME2, I'm afraid.

You can back up the file in the future in case this happens again, but I know that's no consolation if your old set of achievements is unrecoverable. :(
