This might sound like a stupid question, But how do i download the toolkit?

isnt working for me because i bought the game through steam and dont have a cd-key. I know that the toolkit is floating around the torrent sites but I am wondering if there is another(legal) way to get it?

you have to register your game to download the toolkit. how you register the steam version of dragon age i don't know, but it should be possible at least

When you launch a steam game, the cd key should come up before the game loads unless you've clicked the "don't show this again" box.
If it doesn't, you can find it somewhere in the steam client if you look. If I remember correctly, you have to select the game in the library then right click and select properties from the menu that appears. Once you have the key showing, copy it to the clipboard and then login to whatever Bioware pages you need to to register the game.
Once that's done, there should be a link on the toolset tab page of the Origins homepage that you can click to get the download.
