Why stay loyal to original ME1 LI?

It was a "I'm sorry, but lets just be friends" letter.
BTW, if you didn't have that "special night" before Ilos, does Ashley still mention that in her email?

... It's impossible to get the letter if you did not romance Ashley.

I did romance her. Probably accidentally :V But we never bunked. Guess that still counts where ME2 is concerned!

It's interesting, when you think about it:
BioWare makes it damn near unavoidable to romance an LI in ME1.
BioWare takes the original LI away.
BioWare gives you new LIs.
BioWare makes you feel spurned and left behind by your old LI.
BioWare tries very hard to make these new LIs very accessible and appealing.
BioWare gives you no opportunity to break it off with your old LI.
BioWare barely lets you speak to your old LI and gives you no romance content on the relationship.
You'd think it's all completely intentional. Planning something, do you think?

Ah, okay. That makes sense. If you turned Liara away when she came to your room, she still acts like you guys had a whole romance, as well.

A catfight. Or...tiger fight, if guys are involved. Personally I am looking forward to Ash and Tali facing off. Conflict is fun!
But I never liked Ash all that much so the solution here is obvious.

I am quite sure that we won't see a catfight...at least not in your (or my) ME universe^_^

jlb, you're supposed to say "you rang".
And I agree with Titanium. I like conflict. As long as it is not overdone, and it is not out of character, I'm always all for it.
... Though I most certainly did not get Tali exiled. Or get Grunt killed. I lurvs my squaddies too much.

Mind you, these decisions were not intentional. Still, I've decided to run with it to flavor my Shepard's story.

If I get no feedback at all, and they say nothing, I can't think we still have a relationship. I must have some positive reinforcement or interest of some kind. I must have more than nothing. I know not everyone feels that way, but I do.

Kaiden V Garrus (Garrus would snarkily put down that greased up whiny little ****.)
Ashley V Miranda (Miranda would use force choke, or biotic equivalent.)
Thane V Kaidan (Would end with juxtaposed orange light shot of Thane snapping Kaiden's neck.)
Jack V Liara (Holy ****! That would be ridiculous. classic quiet insanity vs loud psychotic matchup. Technical, obsessive, precision vs brutal, uncontrollable rage.)
Think of more.
