You can duplicate resources (including areas) between modules, though something like an area has a lot of dependencies that may throw errors.
What I did for Fragments of Ferelden and classic Week was create a new area, using the appropriate single-player Area Layout (list on the wiki here:
http://social.biowar...t:_Area_Layouts). For classic Week I then copy-pasted sound elements from the area Single Player module to my own, which is tedious (copy, switch module, think about upgrading PC, open area, paste) but works.
