Yay! Now I can't STOP thinking Audrey Tautou.marquiseondore wrote...

Did she sound Orlesian like Marjolaine was Orlesian? Or was it actually a decent accent?marquiseondore wrote...
Cassandra I think is Orlesian, sounded like it.
Her accent was excellent! Marjolaine makes my skin crawl because it was overemphasized. Cassandra's was very natural. Think Audrey Tautou if she could speak English with more ease.
The only way this could get better is if they got Marion Cotillard to do a voice.

If they could do a face morph like they did with Miranda/Yvonne Strahoski, that would just be too much to handle.

I found some information about the upcoming new DLC.
The focus of this new content is entirely combat based encouraging players to use their tactics against hordes of enemies.
I read that too. For me, it's disappointing, because I'm not that interested in a campaign that is supposed to be all combat and little to no story. It's a "wait and see" for now.

That Morrigan costume is freaking amazing.

That's pretty much what Darkspawn Chronicles was, at least in my opinion. They've branched out with each DLC, and they're not all going to be to everyone's taste. I certainly don't think it's evidence that ALL of their Dragon Age content will be like that from now on.Riona45 wrote...

I'm aware of that, which is one reason why I didn't buy that DLC (I also just didn't like the premise).

Right, but I wasn't arguing that it was.

Oh I know, I was just adding that on due to all the recent moaning by people like Kordaris. Not that there was any way for you to know that, since it directly followed a quote by you. In retrospect, I could have made that (much) clearer, sorry.Riona45 wrote...

I'm curious about the music as well, Brockololly. I doubt too many people who played the demo noticed what music was playing in the background, though.

Here's hoping all this new action-jackson gameplay is optional for the PC - I like my tactical gameplay too much to give it up without a fight!

Come children. Settle down here by the fire and I shall tell you the tale of teh famed BioWare Brawl of Comic Con 2010. Or better yet, you can read it and see pictures from the event on the BioWare Blog here: http://blog.bioware....omic-con-day-3/

Just wondering- for any of the people that played the demo at Comic Con, was there any music in the demo? If so, did it sound like Origins music or did they change things up there too?

But the presentation was flawless. The speaker could sell me the keys to Hades.
Also: getting a bonus weapon for simply showing up? Awesome. As I and the guy in back of me were saying, "You mean we have to sign up for a real thing to get fake stuff in nine months? SO RAD!".

I'm liking what I'm hearing from marquiseondore so far. I never hated Cailan's voice and I'm glad the accents are well done, and the combat changes sound fine.
Also...sword staffs? Awesome! I only hope they aren't mage-only. Are you guys going to make me roll a caster, Bioware? Me? A dedicated melee player? Evil evil.

Cailan's voice was good, his manner was cocky and I think that's what people disliked.
I am happy.

Chris Priestly rules. He's a worse speller than I am and he's successful so it gives me hope.
Unless it's all some joke. :-(

And the Thane was a hoot as well, very nice to the little kids and an awesome guy to hangout with afterwards
That Brawl WAS AMAZING! Got to be a rogue in the second fight, the two I fought with didn't know what hit them.
Now at the Demo/booth: I was bummed that it was only a 360 showing, but that was mostly because I never played it on the 360 >_<. Enjoyed it alot, a little short, but he did say we were OP for the demo. Was excited to see them all respond alot faster to commands instead of dancing around. The new art style has me kind of going meeeeh, but its something I could get use to. Hawke's voice seemed a little young for his face, but that might just be me. As for the music, I don't think I really heard it, but I was still playing with the buttons making sure I was getting them down (and opening a window for the wireframe, shadows, and all that fun stuff. Whoops XD)
ps. Shame on you for not bringing " I [dragon/heart] alistar" shirts!!

I have now posted part 4 of the Comic Con blog. You can check it out here: http://blog.bioware....-day-4-wrap-up/ While I know Mass Effect is not Dragon Age, their costumed fans were too cool not to be featured. Check it out.
So, once again, a big thank you to the fans and folks in San Diego. We had another great year showing you our game. Where will Dragon Age 2 end up next? Stay tuned for more summer convention news to come.

Oh really? Because I have an amazing deal on this bridge, you see....
Glad you enjoyed it. I gave that demo 55 times over the course of the Con, and it was great to see the reactions. Finishing moves on large creatures for mages was a huge, huge hit. I think people just love ogre gibs.
Thanks for coming out!
