I liked his voice, I wouldn't liken it to Cailan at all. At least, not in annoyance factor
Console Gameplay? Like a cross between DA:O and Kingdom Hearts. It was fun, though I plan to play the PC version anyway. I liked all the over-the-top slashes and the hurlocs breaking into a dozen pieces when they were killed. But as the narrating dwarf (who looked like some sort of pimp lol) said, much to Cassandra's annoyance, he's embellishing.
Playing as a warrior, Hawke had three basic attacks (mapped to the left, right and upper buttons) which were a normal slash, a dash-and-slash which let you run about 15 feet instantly and cut an enemy, then a whirlwind attack like the Origins version. Presumably he'd have more, but those three were immediately available.
Flemeth looks cool, and is not as skinny and underwear-model-like as the concept art. In the demo at least she was still voiced by Kate Mulgrew.

Although Mike (I think it was Mike, goodness me I am terrible at remembering names) did tell me that they had re-recorded those lines, so his voice was deeper.
I bet the VO was happy about that.

I was more impressed with Bethany's animations. The spells were by far more distinct from simply 'fireball'.

Which for me is awesome news, as I intend to play a mage.

Not sure what you're implying here but I am a big fan of magic users in general (in all types of games and fantasy settings), I don't play them out of a desire to powergame. In fact, if you got to look at how I made up my character, you might declare that I did a less than optimal job.

The voice actor in the SDCC demo was Hawke's final voice, I asked. Although Mike (I think it was Mike, goodness me I am terrible at remembering names) did tell me that they had re-recorded those lines, so his voice was deeper.

So is his voice going to be deeper than what we heard in the Demo?

Mages were overpowered. If you played as a mage in Origins, you could literally kill anything with Wynne and Morrigan in your party. It was so broken. Powergaming has nothing to do with it. Now that Beth is a mage, I'm going to play at least two of my four characters as mages [Gay Hawke - male, no import, and a flamer; Sea Hawke - male, DA:O import only; Conando Hawke - male, both DA imports, a rapscallion; Sparrow Hawke - female, both imports] .
Yes, I have this all planned out.
Gay will fight with no shirt.

I am aware of that, but like I said that never had anything to do with my desire to play a mage.

These costumes seem to have a lot of beautiful details.

Duncan isn't dead, and he wasn't in Lothering when Hawke escaped from the Dark Spawn. Bioware said that Hawke's father and mother died there, so it confirms him as his uncle. But yes, Hawke looks like Duncan, they are like two drops of water, and it will be interesting if he was his father, but it's not probably.
That's the default Hawke that they showed. It'll be like ME, where you can pretty much change everything about his physical appearance.
Duncan isn't dead? Did I miss something by not playing the other expansions?
Nope, Duncan is as dead as dead gets, unfortunately. I pine for his man beard.
/single tear
Duncan is not dead, he was taken to the Deep Roads, but not killed. Have you seen his body in Awakening expansion, where he fought against the ogre? Me not (and that's all we know)... Probably the Arquitect saved him, cause he was interested in Grey Wardens.

There's no evidence for this.
