We spent FAR more time (see the capitalization for emphasis?) setting up than we planned. Electircal failure, fire alarm, mass hysteria and such kept us working into the wee small hours, but we are now ready for Day 1 of the Con.
I'll be poting an update either later tonight or first thing tomorrow with the fun we get up to, whether we meet any celebrities (like Aidan Scanlan who met Felicia Day yesterday, lucky.... guy) and all the wacky Day 1 hijinx we get up to.
Now for some 2 hours sleep, 2 buckets of coffee and then DAY 1!

You and me both. I mean, I can't help it if I'm east coast and it cost a few hundred bucks to fly down there.SelphieSK wrote...

On the bright side, I just ran into Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (from Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and other awesome stuff). Very nice guys who treated all us fans to pictures and autographs. I love Comic Con.

My reaction to reading this: WHAAAAAAAAATT?!?!?!"Chris Priestly wrote...
I've posted our Wednesday at SDCC (thats the San Diego Comic Con for those not in the know) blog update. You can read it here: http://blog.bioware.com/I think it is now safe to say, if you come down, you will have your first chance to get your hands on and PLAY Dragon Age 2.
So my question is to Chris: will there be updates from Bioware for those of us unable to attend, footage and pics showing it as people try it out? (And any other new information shown?)
-------------
edit: Just saw this previous answer by Chris to a similar question:
In that case, I'll narrow my question and just ask: do you think we'll be shown a(ny) video(s) of the gameplay in action? *hopeful*We will when we get the chance, but it is tres busy here

Duncan isn't dead, and he wasn't in Lothering when Hawke escaped from the Dark Spawn. Bioware said that Hawke's father and mother died there, so it confirms him as his uncle. But yes, Hawke looks like Duncan, they are like two drops of water, and it will be interesting if he was his father, but it's not probably.
That's the default Hawke that they showed. It'll be like ME, where you can pretty much change everything about his physical appearance.
Duncan isn't dead? Did I miss something by not playing the other expansions?

Nope, Duncan is as dead as dead gets, unfortunately. I pine for his man beard.

Our entire IT dept took a long lunch break. I'm proud to say we were in the first 12 to see and play the demo (5th in line actually).
It was freakin' awesome! Fast gameplay, and the graphics were incredible. They clearly listened to the community and took a lot of time making a fantastic game that stands on it's own. Not just a sequel.
I play on PC and don't own a console, but I thoroughly enjoyed the demo on the xbox (it appeared that all of the demo stations were xbox)
Well done, BioWare!
I don't know how I will possible be able to wait!

btw, we all enjoyed the power point presentation before the hands on and felt you gave us a lot of needed information regarding the development and Bioware's attention to the game. We were worried that a sequel so soon after the first game would simply be a re-hash. You quelled our concerns and were very gracious about answering our questions. Thank you
