So, we have to wait for the console version to pass first? I'm not quite sure what the console version has to do with the pc...but okay.

No, that's not what Victor said. The PC patch is coming on Monday. No date yet for the console patches:

(Awakening) Silverite Mine Issues
Some players have experienced a situation where it is possible to enter the Silverite Mine in the Wending Wood early by picking the lock to the door (despite the lock initially appearing to be impossible to pick) prior to completing the quest with Velanna. Due to technical limitations, we will be unable to patch this issue and as such we wish to communicate to players to avoid this situation.

Entering the Silverite Mine early may result in loss of some inventory as well as broken plot flags due to prior quests not being completed properly. Normally, the door will unlock after fully resolving the encounter with Velanna and the player should not attempt to enter the Silverite Mine before then.


I have experienced the bug (PC version) even though I have already resolved the encounter with Velenna.

Patch 1.04 is coming next monday?



Expecting to have to wait at least another month, I set up a virtual machine to do a run through Planescape:Torment before picking up DA:O again. Now I have to decide which game to play.

Nah. I don't hate you of course. As far as I can see, the major bugs which stopped me from continuing my first playthrough have been fixed, and the remaining ones such as Silverite Mines can be avoided by just "playing properly and not do any strange things".



I look forward to continuing my playthrough and starting again as a Dalish elven dual-wield / archer fighter or rogue. (No leliana for me, in the second round... and I like that character most of all.)

Thank you, but quick question: If I uninstall the Soldier's Peak dlc in order to fix vigilance bug, will npc's still know that I completed that quest? I remember one npc mentioning Soldier's Peak and the Warden's involvement. Will it be like it never happened, or is it still flagged in the transfer?

Odd how it says in this set of notes that they only fixed memory leaks causing crashes, yet the previous one stated they were fixing memory leaks leading to longer load times. Am I missing something, or did those of us with unruly loading times get screwed again?

How about releasing the Sentinel Armor as a free DLC download for DA:O and DA:A *wink wink*.

that would solve the problem and we could use it outside of Awakening.

Nice, and even better that PC patch doesn't need to wait for the console patches to be accepted. Any idea how long it'll take for Steam version to become available? Or can the same patch be used for both versions?

So, is it just daggers being fixed for dex? Been asking this since the first patch thread and can't get an answer, if I remember correctly 1.03 did something to crossbows and I'm pretty sure that shortbows have nothing added to them from dex. Also, what about the broken/missing quests? No reward for shaperate quests, Jowan's Intention area never showing up etc.

I was thinking the same thing.

Daggers are more important, but it's still a shame only longbows work properly.

Im just wondering, Victor said some issues couldn't fixed this time due to technical and size limitations, so does that mean any outstanding issues will be fixed in upcoming patches or is it a case that they just cant be patched??? Such as the Sentinel Armor and Vigilance cause its a pain having to uninstall wardens keep just to view the armor and sword as they should look

Please actually read the patch notes before you post:

Line 4 of General Fixes:
•    Blood talents from the Grey Warden Base premium downloadable
content will now work properly in Awakening.
