My update started when I put Awakenings in early this morning. Maybe I got lucky with the timing when they were testing it or something. Or it's only in the US currently. Try putting in your Awakenings disc.

 Have to ask if the patch is available for pc why do we need to have to wait for cert by sony or microsoft, and if it is already available on 360 again why is it not available on pc yet seems  a bit unfair

Microsoft handles 360 and Bioware handles PCs. I am sure Bioware is prepping their servers to get ready for the massive infux.

you are waiting because it is roughly 3 am ( edmonton time) obviously no one is at the office at bioware right now...except maybe a janitor or a guard. they start working on mondays at 9:00 like every business so i am afraid you will have to wait at least another 6 hours + and that is if the put the patch out when they come in which i doubt...

That's how patching works, so yes.

Thanks, however, patching does not always work like this.  Not all patching carries over the content of previous patches. You obviously do not own NWN1 or NWN2. Here you need to install numerous earlier patches before the most current, otherwise you will miss some corrections/content.

The reason I asked this is cos I do not want  to install the crap from 1.03. If 1.04 carries this as well, then I will forget it and continue using 1.02 and mods that fix most of what 1.04 does anyway...

Sounds like a lot of good fixes, just sucks that some issues were left unresolved.

Because there is a toolset for DA that PC user can use to create new content for DA; some modders chose to use it to fix things that Bioware should fix, instead of creating new content.

Oops, I may have been hard to understand. I mean, why can't Bioware make a patch for the problems modders fix themselves?

Well it probably comes down to a few things mainly (1) there is no money in bug fixing and (2) limited resources (read as money, time, developers, etc.). Bioware can fix every problem if they throw enough money and developers at it, they just aren't (which isn't their fault that is just how businesses are). Cheers.

It comes down to money and red tape, they have to go through a lot of official procedures and crap to get anything done. A modder doesn't have any of those problems.

Yay for the patch coming out Monday ... the only problem is the time difference here in the UK  (it's monday already) so i won't be able to download it until tuesday unless they either push the patch out at 9am local time (gets on knees and begs for that lol) or i stay up late tonight (i'm an old girl and need my sleep)

it wont be the patch its only for the PC today Xbox and PS3 have to wait for microsoft and Sony to certificate it
