Thanks to our partners at TransGaming, we are nearing the time when the remaining DLC will become available for the first time on the Mac version of Dragon Age: Origins! Starting soon, you'll be able to go beyond the origin and explore more of the Dragon Age experience!
On July 20, we will release the Return to Ostagar DLC and patch 1.03. We are also working with TransGaming on delivering the complete range of DLC releases shortly afterward, and will keep you posted on release dates for each of these.
Thank you for playing Dragon Age: Origins and we hope you enjoy your continued adventures in the upcoming DLC!

Even a 'no way - no can do!' would be most welcome just to end this
my own opinon: improvement of the windows emulator wine by
the Linux community instead of attempting to port / petitioning a
portation for each and every pc game the maker or the old gods
throw at us.

I would suggest that you refer your Linux using friend to Cedega, Transgaming's version of WINE on Linux. It should be able to run the Windows version as is, as long as the PC would otherwise support the game.

Also, please note that on July 19 – one day before the alleged release of the Mac patch 1.03 – patch 1.04 is supposed to be released for PCs.Gnaeus.Silvanus wrote...
Patch 1.03? Why release this wayward patch? Does it make any difference if this version is for mac?

The DLC really does extend the life of this game enormously. Now I'm stoked for yet another play-through of my favourite game!

Maybe that'll be available for us Mac users by the time Dragon Age 2 ships.

You've raised our hopes about the coming of DA: Awakening for the Mac.

By the way, Leliana's Song will also work after the patch.
I also noticed that Force Field (or whatever that spell is called) has been significantly shortened with the 1.03 patch. It used to run run out at the same time that it refreshed, so it could be kept up indefinitely. Not so any more. It now runs out well before it can be recast.

Have everyone keep the Mac DLC coming at the standard TransGaming have kept to thus far and you will have my support.

I too am curious about Leliana's Song. I am using Modazpin, can I just download the PC version of Leliana's song and load it via Modazpin, or do I even meed Modazpin? Will Modazpin cause any problems with new DLCs for Macs? I am using Modazpin to run a couple mods. The mods seem to run fine after the patch and even with RTO, which I just purchased.

I expect with Return to Ostagar having been released somewhat recently we won't be seeing additional DLC for a little while. Ah, well.

I would have gladly bought the Mac version - even if it cost more, but when Dragon Age first came out, there were no (public) plans for a Mac version, so I'm playing on Windows XP via Bootcamp.
