not to long ago i asked what movie had the worst ending ever. now i would like to know everyones thoughts on what game has the worst ending ever
i believe KOTOR 2 has the worst ending ever, it ends very abruptly, dosent awnser a lot of questons, plus the final level is very unfinshed, and theres no multiple endings like in kotor 1.
now what game do YOU think has the worst ending

Well the ending of Mafia felt very cheap at first, but I grew up and I think it's actually very fitting now.

All 5 endings in 'Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines' were an anticlimax, although the Anarch ending sucked the least.

Crysis. It probably wont even make sense now that they have jumped to New York, in a sort of console reboot.

Fallout 3- before the Broken steel DLC
Fable 1 - before The Lost Chapters
Borderlands - spent all that time looking for the Vault and we never get to go inside
Crackdown - kill off all the other gangs, and then you find out you work for a gang orginization and we can't fight them.

C'mon, Fallout 3 totally made sense story wise.
I have to admit gameplay wise it was quite weird. You could survive Super Mutant Behemoths sticking lamp posts in your face by that time, what was a little radiation to you.

Pretty much. I wouldn't say it was the worst ending, but it wasn't the best.Khayness wrote...

God of War 3 had an ending that sucked pretty hard, Kratos defeats Zeus, the world is pretty much in ruin and then Kratos impales himself with the Blade of Olympus, the end.

Throne of Darkness.
You are in feudal Japan and demons are destroying everything. You work as a team of Japanese heroes desperately trying to return the land to peace. After days of travel you get to the end. After all that struggle, grinding, gear upgrading you sense you are so close to achieving a cookie that you can taste it. You lose in a movie and become demons yourselves.<_<

As weak as Fallout 3's main story was, it's vanilla ending was pretty good.
Dragon Age's US ending trumped it, though, which is the reason I don't like it's other ending. That one leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth... That being said, it wasn't a bad ending, I just didn't like it.
Fable II had a horrible ending, from both a gameplay and story perspective. So did Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, which might very well be the worst conclusion to an otherwise good trilogy I have ever seen.

Broken Sword, I felt its ending just felt anticlimactic. Monkey Island 3, after having to do him in with root beer and voodoo dolls in the previous ones you defeat demon LeChuck in the third by...blowing him up? In a way that felt cheesy instead of actually funny or dramatic? Yeah...

Far Cry 2.
As for being the ending and all, it was satisfying, I just wish there was something more to it. And not just that you die, the Jackal runs of, and the refugees are safe... It felt like the game left me hanging in the air when I was done.

The ending of Assassin's Creed 2 left me going WTF do we really need all this plot-twisty-ness? I wouldn't mind if the plot was actually good but......
