prince of persia 2008. i mean, you just imprissoned a god that was about to destroy the world and one girl had to die for it. then ''the prince'' frees the evil god again so he can bring her back to life!
that was a real WTF! moment for me.
Blasphemy! That was one of the better endings in recent history.

I thought the same until I played the epilogue then I realized the ending made perfect sense.

Then there was Assassin's Creed 2, the game was really fun. The assassinations were lame because you could only do it the way the game wanted you to, unlike the first one. So after defeating "Super Pope" the whole global warming/ Y2K/ Templar Death Satilite/ Solar Flares/ Ancient Aliens/2012/ ending literally had me **** in my pants! I mean even James Cameron could right a better ending with his penis! And all of you know how much I HATE JAMES CAMERON!!! And I was like F*** me, the game would have been soooo much better if it left out the whole 2012/DEATH FROM ABOVE subplot! But those Liberal Hippies had to pour there **** into an otherwise good video game claiming that Christianity, Islam along with every other religion is false. Then pushing their own F****** agenda down onto us, game tie in that none of us could realistically dispute. But even worse was that the character relations and interaction between Leonardo and Ezio made me feel really awkward. I like both characters individually but it seems Ubisoft was hinting at a romance/love intrique between the two. Now that I think about it they would make a lovely GAY couple, which would be rather sad. Bastards...
Don't get me started on PRINCE OF F******* Persia. 14 damn hours of wall jumping and futile attempts of hitting on Elika (your female love interest) leaves me back where I started. You beat the repetitive turd of a game. By defeating the transvestite evil god and Elika's father and locking them away in a seal. Then Ubisoft pulls a fast one on you.
You think the game is over but your little **** (Elika) decides to die. So she dies, and the only way to get her back is by breaking the seal and setting free the transvestite evil god. And im like "Hold on Ubisoft, you expect me to undo 14 hours of hard work, and do exactly what elika told me not to do after she died?" But Ryoko convinces me that there will probably be a surprise ending that I won't see coming. I break the seal releasing out favorite transvestite deity and get Elika back.
So the game ends with the "prince" (you) holding your girlfriend while this evil deity brings hell to the whole world. And the way I understand it is there not even planning on making a sequel.
Screw you Ubisoft.
My sincere and deepest apologies to out moderators for my foul language.

I'll have to agree that FO3's ending was bad. "Your dad died to save people who killed him, die nao."
Want a Ubisoft game with a horrible ending? Avatar - the game. Never. Buy. Everything the PC does in the 15 hour game is literally rendered pointless by a plot twist that signals the opening of the movie's story. No.
I'm sure I could find more... but I'm a bit bitter about one specific game...
KOTOR 2 was shaping up to be my favorite game ever. Star Wars, KOTOR combat, ability to influence companions, alternate paths... But the ending destroyed everything. I read somewhere that one of the producers thought that cutting a few months of development time wouldn't impact the quality of KOTOR 2, and it would be out for the holidays. One day, I'll find that guy... and tell him he was wrong.
Okay, bitter rant done. I'd also nominate NWN 2. It's literaly a "rocks fall everyone dies" ending.

@ryoko: psst, they do that so you'll buy brotherhood.
Darn them, I am curious to see how they try to make sense of the plot, but since I am poor I can only buy good games that are coming out like Halo: Reach and Portal 2. Donations for the poor, anyone?

Broken Sword, I felt its ending just felt anticlimactic.
The first one, I just kinda expected more for an epic adventure across Europe. Just seemed to arrive and the next thing I know the place has fallen down and its all over. Not the worst, but a definite let down I felt.

Contra III had a pretty weak ending too considering how hellishly difficult it was to achieve it on the hardest difficulty setting. It was barely a rung above seeing a congratulations screen. :/

it is a classic Ending about killing the traitors and Villains at Malachor V ... and Confronting Revan and Exile needs a Sequel. it was not as easy as you think, because his position was unknown even to Bastila and Carth.

I waited five sequels for this ending to the series!?
Just an FYI...It isn't over.
Anyway, Sacred 2 had an absolutely awful ending (if you could say that it had a story to begin with). It honestly would have been a far more intelligent move to concentrate on making the game itself better. Instead, they give us an oddly terrible "campaign" that one is forced to go through if they ever wish to make it to the higher levels of play. Painful...just painful. =(

Are you talking about the ending that's in the game, or the full ending that they cut out from the game due to time constraints? Because, yes, the full ending is pretty good. But if you only see what's actually playable in the game, it's a crappy ending that doesn't answer half the questions in the two games.
