Do I need to put in BOTH discs into the 360 and then install BOTH to the hard drive?
I hear it speeds up loading times a little bit. I have installed the first disc but I am not sure if it is necessary to install the 2nd one.

Yes, I believe you have to install both discs. If you don't, when you insert the uninstalled disc, your xbox will treat it as a normal disc and the disc will start to soon as if it wasn't installed. At least I'm pretty sure, that's what I did
