... so dittzy question but... can i use my origional dragon age character with dragon age 2 or is all hope ;ost and i have to start from scratch??

No; the DA character has isn't the main character in DA2. There is a new lead character, who must be human, is voiced, and has the last name Hawke. You can find more in the what do we know so far thread.

You play as a new character - Hawke, but I think I read somewhere that your DAO decisions carry over.(not positive bout that though)

You play as a new character unrelated to the DAO protagonist. However, you do get to import your DAO save

cool, I like to import my goodies, XPS transfer to DA 2- Plus extra cash...

Yep yep, completely new character. Apparently things you've done in DA: O affect DA II though. I'm not sure how, but I'd venture to guess that "Warden" will be mentioned for heroic deeds that were accomplished in the previous title and such. But that's just an assumption of course.
