Hordes of the Underdark is a topnotch Bioware campaign. Once you've finished it, you can continue your character's adventures in one of the post-HotU contest modules (each title links to the nwvault download page):

Sands of Fate: Shadows over Heliopolis by John McA. The contest winner and the first module of a trilogy (part 2, part 3) that will take your character to level 40! John has created his own fantasy setting.

SQ2: The Pawns of Darkness by TomG. This is a sequel to Tom's The Shadow Queen, a SoU to HotU "bridge" module. This module is set in Forgotten Realms: Waterdeep, Undermountain, and beyond.

The Gods Themselves Trilogy by Haildodge. This trilogy of modules (in a single download bundle) is a direct sequel to the evil ending (good aligned characters need not apply). The module is set in the 8th level of Hell, Cania.

Quite useful. Wish I could find more of the Bridge from SoU to HoTU mods. I have this odd desire to take characters on different roads, ya know?

A taste of the story you ask?

Time: Eve of the new year, 1490DR
Location: Sword Coast between Waterdeep and the former city of Neverwinter.

After the spell plague that has ravaged across Faerun, an area has recently been found to have had a large area under an illusion from the time Waterdeep was ravaged by the Hordes of the Underdark. A tower has been seen with no visible entrance and has had many adventures come to explore it. As many groups came to check the rumors of this tower, most were never able to enter, but it was found some apparently did and are unable to get out, for an unknown reason. It seems only the most notorious or capable people have been able to enter the tower, but it is not known exactly what triggers the allowance for entrance.

The very effects of magic seem to have been undisturbed by the spellplague, in fact numerous reports that for some reason with in certain areas near the tower the "Weave" is exactly as it was prior to the Spellplague. Numerous sages through intensive study and testing have found that in the area around the tower has had time itself exploited by being adjacent to the plane of time itself. Rumors persist of many levels and infinite planes being held with in the tower. It is thought due to the proximity that even death has no sway in the tower as people who were previously reported dead have been seen and then vanish into thin air. It is highly speculated that these people have been given life once again, and are entering the tower.

Where did the tower come from? Who built it? What is it's link to time itself? Most of all what is going on in the Tower? Are you brave enough to enter the tower alone or with your friends? Many would be adventures have come, and many were turned away from the rumored perils held with in the tower and its effects on time.

There is only one rumor that has been fortold, and seems to hold truth: The Devil Tamer has returned, and the power of the Knower's still remains firmly under his controll.
