Nothing  against gay character in games,  just the open flamboyant in your face  ones that are very annoying,  some people are into that, as long you get the option to kill  them or possibly even  get rid of them a secondary option, all's good.  If they decide to add another gay character, make them abit more normal  than a cardboard cut-out of what a straight persons stereotype of one is, it's very offensive.

Um, except he wasn't particularly flamboyant and eccentric, just very sexualised. Would his behaviour still be a problem for you if he only acted that way with female Wardens?

edit: And yes, what other people have said is correct: he only really comes onto you once and it's easy to shut him down. It's hardly intrusive.

There's hardly any sense in arguing with him, since his argument is just going to be "But he's gross and icky, so I'll ignore any of your valid points and just insult him further to hide my homosexual tendencies."

So you've never actually gotten to know him yourself. Interesting. Also lol...you're saying Brokeback Mountain ruined all cowboy movies ever made FOREVER? How dramatic. Uhhh, no, they killed off Mace Windu because it was part of the story. Samuel L. Jackson just told them not to make Mace Windu "die like a 'female dog'" (curse replaced because of censors). And how are Ewoks filling a quota? I don't know many hairy aliens that Star Wars needs to appeal to. Unless you are talking about dwarves, in which case I will need to point out that only half were dwarves, the other half were children.

Coming from a country where homosexuality is regarded pretty much on the same scale as murder, I think I can give some viewpoint on the "zevran is gay so he must be killed" argument. I heard about Zevran being bisexual before I fought him and was a bit disturbed about it, but after I tied him up and talked to him he seemed very witty and fun character with a lot of potential. It is perfectly ok to RP killing him because he tried to assassinate you, but killing him because he MIGHT have a interest towards you (which is very easy to decline, hundred times easier than declining Alistair for a Female PC) sounds just stupid.
As for the betraying thing, he betrays only if if have pretty low approval, which basically means either you never spent any time trying to talk to him and earn his loyalty or rejected his opinions and ideas too much and made him feel like trapped in his oath just like he was trapped by the crows before. I'd try to run away from such a person too. It is ok to be disturbed by a particular trait of a character (Wyyne: know-it-all ness, Leliana: schizophrenia, Alistair: whining and Duncan obsession, Morrigan:****iness etc), but to simply overlook everything good aabout that character because of that is not cool.

Anyway, I'm sure no will care about what I said. Feel free to ignore

Ohhhhh, that's what you were saying. And you are wrong, because the scripts are written before the actors are cast (sometimes several movies ahead). He did request the cool lightsabre, but his death was already decided. He just told them he wouldn't do it unless it was a cool death.

I felt sorta bad. I killed him and went on to finish the game. Afterwards I found out he was a recruitable party member and had an "Oh Fuuuuuuuuuuu-" moment.



So what if he's gay, like any of the options if you aint interested in romancing him then dont. Seems simple to me.
