I play NG+ because I like exploring plot options, but lost my ME1 saves. So I instead take a ME2 save with the correct gender, class, and collector ship weapon and set the ME1 plot flags before starting a new game and give the ME1 import paragade bonuses (Seriously wtf. why isn't that reapplied for NG+?) and enough resources to render scanning optional. I have yet to play an import insanity game, but there is still a sense of Shepard gaining power with obtaining upgrades vs. static enemies.

I also agree that the signature powers for combat class overshadow bonus powers for the cool down clock. The two exceptions to that are Reave for Vanguard (that one skill covers so much for them) and Dominate for an infiltrator (My Shep isn't a great leader he's just "Assuming Control" whether your fleshy, made of polymer, or an avatar of a Reaper). Hell assassin cloak eats more armor than Incinerate for a cool down.

That does put a different light on slam. The rag doll bonus slam gives could also be used effectively by a Vindicator/Viper soldier to put some decent hurt on if you are skilled enough to shoot slam around cover (If it was shot as a projectile it would be another win for soldiers with 1 trick pony biotics). Argh! it was enough of a stretch for my rarely used RP side to accept Warp Ammo on my Infiltrator and Designated Marksman soldier, now I find my self tempted to try slam for my Revy soldier.

Neuzhelin, I don't know about regular insanity, but on NG+ insanity I have found plenty of situations that are too hot to charge in (I imagine this will stop once I get the cool down reduction). I started that run with 10 points free to try squad Cryo vs Shock wave+Pull. Quickest sell I ever had when I tried it, especially for the lolz of charging frozen Krogan.

Poor Shepard: never will he face the glory of having a "Cutscene power to the Max" moment. Instead we must settle for Sniping Harbinger, Charging YMIR's, having a "Nuke" strapped to our shoulder, and being the ONLY mass effect character to suffer ill effects from a vacuum.

By the way anyone know how to fix the login? I can't edit OP because I can never stay logged in long enough.

Of course, didn't know about what Barrier could do till about a week ago. It's awesome, just check these vids:

Adept Commando Shepard - Dantius Towers

Adept Claymore Shepard - Collector Ship

Nice videos.  I'll give Barrier a try on my next Adept.

I've tried dominate on my NG+ insanity infiltrator. I never really found it useful. your slaves just don't do enough - don't destract enough enemies or deal enough damage. also it glitches sometimes, giving enemies a barier but not making them friendly. and boy does that suck.
pretty sure slam can't be arced. I also get the feeling the cc effects of slam and biotics are generally overrated compared to the cc effects of overload, flashbang and squad disrupter. sure, these things won't slow down/ knock over enemies, but they stop them shooting regardless of defences, and the difference that makes is definately apparent in-game.

No, not really. NG+ is slightly harder pre-Horizon but thats about it. Yes, I can imagine if you spec shockwave and pull without investing in the class power/charge it can get too hot. With the right strategy you can charge everything that is chargable.

@ Lazuli,

The Shuriken can strip a BS Centurion shield with one clip - point blank range. Or one clip + Singularity - medium range. (Level 10, +10 % dmg upgrade, no other dmg bonusses, without ammo powers - Insanity)

Point blank is a lot harder to manage on an xbox than a PC, and it's not where I'd typically place an Adept.

What would be the best class for Inferno Grenade? I was thinking of giving it to one of my characters because it's so cool to look at, but is it honestly the worst bonus power in the game?

No, fortification is easily. I haven't tried incend. grenade recently but I was underwhelmed last time. if you're gonna go with a grenade, go with flashbang.

I would also like to add that I think the best class for the flashbang is the sentinel.

I've heard this twice now. Why is point blank range harder to 'manage' on 360?

I dunno - just get close. It's not headshotting which should be easier with a mouse. Adepts can do some serious crowd control damage, disabling multiple enemies with biotics. If you use Singularity on an enemy you can just walk to him/her and fire away - not hard at all B)

Couple of things. I think it has something to do with the speed at which you can turn and aim compared to with a mouse, at close range you need much larger moves at a much faster rate than further away. thats harder to do with an analogue stick.
also, you can't  aim and use powers or melee at the same time. because your right thumb controls aiming, and the ABXY buttons, you can only do one or the other.
the reload trick with shotguns is also a bit harder on the 'box as far as I know.
