On topic, I suppose that's possible, but I don't think the darkspawn sacked Lothering because it was home to two heros. It's location just north of the Kocari Wilds is the reason it was one of the first villages to fall to the darkspawn. This is also why those fleeing the darspawn, stopped in Lothering for safe shelter, location, location, location.

The Death Star never destroyed Tatooine.

Oh, I knew the Death Star blew up Alderaan, I was just proposing that it is strange that it is possible for two extraordinary heroes to come from a backwater village, and both heroes escape just before it's destroyed.

Not exactly just before. Your Warden lived in the Tower for a long time IIRC.
Yeah but then he returned and then escaped just before it got destroyed.

It's extremely odd you can say where you're from and then visit those places as an elf, since no one recognizes you, but more importantly, you seem to recognize no one. And before anyone says "well, you were young, why would you?" it's the player's choice to remember, just as it was the player's choice to even pick a place. You think you could at least ask "hey, any family members still hanging around that I can save before this place gets annihilated?"

It isn't unlikely Hawke & cie were already refugees from the blight before they even
entered town.
I'll wait until the pr schedule allows BW to reveal more facts.

You know what, I never thought of that, that's a good point, with all the Origins affect your story stuff, you would think at least 1 NPC would notice you. Oh well, BioWare obviously missed that bit.

Some quotelevels snipped for better readability.
Not the only loose end: talk to Gorrim in Denerim as a dwarven noble, accept the 2 items he offers you
and then try to make use of them in Orzammar - absolutely no dialog option available for that approach.
If that is just a red herring, then it is the most game fun busting dead end in DA O .
If not I can only hope it doesn't corrupt imported decision summaries in DA 2.

Hawke was a soldier at Ostagar and got wounded and ended up in Loethering. The templars tried to defend the place from Darkspawn but failed and as the Darkspawn marched into the chantry to claim the life of the Future Hero of Kirkwall, the roof was blown open and a Giant creature flew in. It was a High-dragon. It bellowed furiously, scattering the Darkspawn away, It caught Hawke in its talon, even as he fainted from the agony of his wounds.. and carried him away into the Korcari wilds......
Oh - and Bethany just barely managed to grab the dragon's tail, I take it
