You are probably right. Bioware's probably covering their asses with Flemeth no matter what you do to her, so she'll be in DA2, just like they covered their asses with Oghren in DAO so that he could show up in DA:A no matter what you did.
Yeah, being not only a shapeshifter but also a body snatcher, BioWare has plenty of reasons built in for Flemeth re-appearing.
Killed Flemeth in Origins? Morrigan says as much that she has no doubt she will return. Its entirely likely Flemeth could take over any old body or maybe that of another Witch of the Wild- presumably the less the body is prepared for the takeover, the weaker she would be once in the new body.
Let Flemeth go in Origins? Either she found a new body anyway or since she has awesome shapechanging abilities she can just go poof! and change into a new form.
I guess what I'm curious about is just how important it is for her to have a "young" body- I believe Morrigan says she'll need a new one soon or else she'll just be a deaf, dumb husk in no time. Is that really true or was Flemeth playing Morrigan?
And with all this talk of shapeshifting, Flemeth all of a sudden is reminding me of Clay Face from Batman- I'm wondering now if she didn't impersonate somebody along the way in Origins to get something from the Warden...
And last little thought- Morrigan mentions seeing Flemeth as a beautiful woman with dark hair when she was young. Was Flemeth just shapeshifting then or does her outward "default" human appearance become affected by her use of magic? Kind of like in Neil Gaiman's Stardust, where whenever the witches use magic, they become uglier and basically age more rapidly?
