First of all sorry for posting this in this section, but I can't seem to post it anywhere else.
The thing is that I surrendered myself to Cauthrien and want some of my companions to rescue me.
But, no matter who I choose only the first one appears and the game plays along as if the second companion is there.
I choose Morrigan and Sten and only Morrigan appeared and she was "talking to herself" as if Sten is standing in front of her.
Anyone else experenced this bug... and a solution to fix it somehow???

Remove mods and try again?

I'm having the same issue. Are there any specific mods that cause the problem?

Extra dog slot caused this same problem for me. Deactivating it fixed it and I got both companions for the quest.

It can be caused by any mod. The best way to find which one is responsible for this issue is to disable/uninstall all mods then re-enable/re-install each mod one at a time and test for the issue.
Do not forget that mods come under two forms: dazip mods installed with DAUpdater.exe and that you can be disabled/enabled in-game using Downloadable Content option and override mods stored in My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override and that must be moved outside this folder to be disabled.

Thanks...I think most of mine are dazip, which should make things easier.
