Come to think of it, how old is Hawke? I've been getting the impression that he/she was, like, twelve when the blight hit Lothering. Is this wrong or do we just not know? A developer clarification would be REALLY nice on this one (but they probably aren't allowed to tell us yet lol).
Perhaps this?
its not official. Just speculation. But a well-founded one..
Think about it..
Hawke has to grow up in 10 years and become THE MOST FREAKING IMPORTANT PERSON IN THEDAS. IN 10 YEARS!!!!!
Thus I doubt he was a baby at Loethering. He definitely has some training with Magic or Blades... Have you thought of that?
He can become a mage in the RPG and that Sir, requires practice: Either from the Circle tower OR from some unknown mentor....
So if he is a good warrior or a mage AND he is at Loethering during a battle that went on right next to its south-pole, he very well may have been in the fight!
As I said, a well meant conjecture...

I was under the impression Hawke was upper teens or lower twenties at the time. As it makes the most sense to me if we are actually supposed to play Lothering.

The love interest argument is the best one I heard.. Too true.. who wants LI with sagging parts? (sorry

besides that the aging would give us anther problem: with 40 youre just not as agile and stuff as with 20. i mean, youre propably still in a good condition but still.... you would be old. so you would have to get pretty much stat problems, you would have to become weaker for example. and in an rpg you become STRONGER, not weaker. thats part of the game.
Ya... I guess 45 is the max age till you can fight optimally.. after this its in the negative...
So 20ish age seems a good start point...
I would like to know how long was the GWs campaign in length... DA:O and DA:O:A

time is relative to the consumer..... at least in DA. time didn't really exist in DA1 but id say it was about 3-4 years until awakening was finished...

The GW 's story only spanned 1 year (1 and a half to 2 years if you coun't Awakening) and I think the Warden is always around his 20's.SirShreK wrote...
So probable age of the GW was about.. 30s something at the end? I guess..

dont think so. as human noble you propably werent even twenty yet, i mean youre not even allowed to join the fighting. i bet youre not older then 23 there. and you only were about 18-20 in the city elf story, those arranged wedings usually are early. that mage thing usually is done when youre pretty young too i guess.

You choose Hawkes first name, just like you choose the Warden's first name and Shepard's first name.

Quite possible... I would love to have a news-paper equivalent Rumour engine in the game that tells you ambiguous happenings across Thedas..... It was implemented in the DA:O in form of Gossiping people and Bohdan.
