I would also like to keep Bethany as a companion please don:t killher off Please don:y say we:re concidering that!
For once I want an RPG that doesn't have a relative die in the beginning of the game. That cliche is extremely overdone already.

If Bethany dies, they'd most likely already have programmed that in long ago.

So, what if Flemeth took control of your sister's body and tells you that you'll only get her back if you aid her in accomplishing some task. While you'll doubtlessly rage at first, as time goes on and years start to pass you may have the option of becoming more accepting of it - you can't change it anytime soon after all. Eventually you may even gain the opportunity to have a relationship with Flemeth in that body, as she cleverly seduces you and encourages romantic feelings. At the end of the game you might have a strong relationship with Flemeth when the opportunity arises to either cast her out of the body - thus losing her but regaining your sister - or allow her to remain in the body and sacrifice your sister for the sake of your love for the Abomination which inhabits her body.
That could make for some very interesting and difficult rp.
Dear lord, they've found a loophole. God damn these forums to hell.

Though I don't think I'd ever do it I think they should make her fate based on your actions (have a chance to let her die/kill her half way through)
Also I would like Isabela as a companion
Edit for Isabela

A female elf that, while being an incompetent party member, I can order around to shine my boots and other menial tasks. Like perhaps sending them to the market to find the best prices on potions and such while i sit on my ass and chat it up with that chick. And have her completely swoon over male PCs or be completely awestruck and idolizing of Female PCs (like what all those little girls do with Hanna Montana and Taylor Swift; but with less high pitched screaming). Than you can make us choose between being a complete bastard/**** when we have to choose between saving them and getting a totally Bad-Ass magic weapon.
There were no female-elf party members in DAO; and elves would be best suited for those menial tasks. Everyone wants a character that swoons over them and builds them up. Just don't make them have a really high pitched wine-y voice or anything; that just ruins a character.
Like Kelly in Mass Effect 2 basically.
**** no.

Right, so, as far as general companions go I've always been pleased with what BioWare has offered. From BG all the way through to DAO, our comrades have always been deep characters with incredible histories and motivations. However...one thing I have occasionaly been *somewhat* dissapointed with are the love interests we have been given. Most recently with titles like ME and DAO, we were offered the Traditional Strong "Hot" Female Marine/Warrior, the Traditional Intelligent Hot Female Alien (Two, in fact. Though...Tali is a unique option) and in DAO we got the Hot Spellcaster and the Hot Rogue.
*Disclaimer* Given how much I love Leliana, I'm somewhat divided on that last example.
Moving on.
It would be nice to have some new options that appeal to a broader range of interests. Example would be...well, there are two, actually. In DAO we had Wynne. Yes! I get that she was supposed to be in her late 50 to early 60s, and a Gandalf/Obi-Wan character. That's not my point. What I'm *trying* to get at is we had this intelligant, compassionate, strong "Older" woman who would have made, in some cases, a deeper more emotionally poignant Romance companion then either Leliana or Morrigan. This was a character with so much to give, so much zest for life, who wasn't long for this world...though Awakening brings that into doubt. In anycase, let's *assume* she wasn't long for this world. I would have found it touching as all hell and emotionally deep to share something personal and beautiful with Wynne before the end.
And, no, I don't have a GILF fetish.
Wynne was a *Tad* elderly. However, had she been just a few years younger (early 50s perhaps) it would have been really poignant. In this regard, the nearest BioWare has come to facilitating a Romance option of this sort is Samara in ME2. Older, Strong, Intelligant, Compassionate, and *even* interested in Shepard. What happened? "I'm sorry Shepard, but, I just happen to have an oath that forbids me from ever knowing a man again." *Shepard bangs head on Bulkhead*
In the case of Samara, I understand it was BioWare's intention to paint a beautiful, lonely, tragic figure. They succeded grandly. Still, taking the option all the way would have been nice.
So, in essence, it would be nice to have a Strong Female Romance companion that *Isn't* in her late teens, early 20s. Loved Aerie, Sharwyn, Bastila, Silk Fox, Tali, etc. But! Older and Sophisticated would be nice. Other than that, I know we're going to get some "Amazing" companions.
P.S. Flemeth better not be the answer to my request.

For example: she's attracted to Hawke's power and is actively trying to get into his pants. It'd be like Zevran, only...(well not less gay, because it's never gay if it's with an elf) straight.
Edit: Actually, that's my second biggets want.
My first one would be a FREAKING HORSE SO I DONT HAVE TO WALK EVERYWHERE.

I am *never* going to play another bioware romance again. Unless it has been *verified* as pathos free by someone I trust.I got a faux pony. I am bitter.I do however want a puppy. May I have a puppy? I mean, Mr. Gaider got his pony....
So was this the whole Orghen asking me for a pony when he was wasted in Awakening? And you get to give him a toy....?

You humans are all racist!
I want someone like Gorim. Hell, I don't want someone LIKE Gorim. I want Gorim! Best origin companion ever. Apart from Barkspawn of course, but the dog made it into regular game.

Idea seems probable and I don't like it. I want Flemeth dead. If she possesses Bethany I want an option to slit her throat where she stands.Bryy_Miller wrote...

Personally I cannot vouch for the size of David Gaider's balls, but he would have to have a pair of freakin' watermelons between his legs to pull off a stunt like that.
As for companions I want? Someone unpredictable. Whether that comes in the form of psychosis, or just a different way of viewing the world, like Sten

I would like to see the aftermath of something like this when you "exorcise" Flemeth after doing all those things.
I'd also love to have some companion that is evil and not just a bit ****y/uncaring a la Morrigan. HK-47 is a lovely example of a not so kind character.
