Darth, evil wielder of dark magics and whatnot=Flemeth(possible previous connection to Hawke?)
Luke, MC and most important guy ever, has metal hand=Hawke
Leia, sister to main character who kissed him in the second title of the series= Bethany(she had a romance thread)
Yoda, short dude who is insghtful and just loaded with useful information for/pertaining to the MC=Varric
So we need a character just like Han Solo in this game and it will be just as successful as the original Star Wars trilogy. Bioware should get in touch with Harrison Ford ASAP

Someone like Alistair (yes I know why add another but come on! he's so adorable!) or Cullin.
Cullen, from the mage origin? If so, I presume you are talking about him before he snapped from PTSD.

Cullen was a boring character either way.
Sorry, but he is!

*shrug* I don't care if people think he's boring.
In any case, he does have a fandom, albeit a small one. Also, you do get the most out of the character by playing a female mage.

So true. As a male mage, he's simply polite when you meet him. He didn't want to kill you, but that's his job after all. When you meet him as a female mage he's an utter mess that just gets messier.

It's okay. There's a little "edit" button on the top right of your post, so you can make sure no one notices your errors.

- Usually, many companions are introduced as potential bad guys but then turn out to be more decent than expected. An interesting subversion would be having a good, sympathetic and warm character turn out to have done something truly reprehensible in his past - and he is not searching atonement for it, he may feel sorry but just wants those events to remain hidden and to go unpunished. A closer look at some of his dialogues and suggestions then reveals a somewhat ruthless, mean streak that was unexpected at first.

no repeats of DA:O companions...while still being unique and interesting in their own ways.
Also no Warden companion..not everything has to revolve around them. Their importance begins and ends with Darkspawn and Blights. Without that they are nothing more then a bunch of better-then-you thugs and murderers (ok not all but a good majority of them.)
And I find all the requests for a Desire Demon rather.....humorous. Good job fulfilling a certain stereotype involving roleplayers and nerds. Pervert nerds unite!
anyway..yah..let's see some NEW companions....not xxxx mark 2.

Liara and Garrus back. Shouldn´t be too much asked or too hard to build them in.
i would like to have a female elven city elf to protect from filthy crazy people ^^
or some character that does not start from scratch as hero-type. In NWN2 there was Shandra Jerro which started to follow you to learn and which was a pleasant difference.
(to be fair, in NWN2 many of the characters were no X-man, Masters of the Universe superhero types, evolving to heroic actions and protectors through the story and hardened through shared adventures. )
br,
wood

basically right, although its not that important from whom exactly it originates to explain what type of companion i would like to see.
To quote teh glorious Wiki
Obsidian Entertainment was handling development of the game, and BioWare, the company that created the first Neverwinter Nights, would be offering support and guidance to Obsidian. The two companies collaborated with a similar arrangement on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, an Obsidian–developed sequel to a BioWare game. BioWare joint CEO Ray Muzyka said "Neverwinter Nights remains one of the most important titles BioWare has ever created."

A scholarly dwarf who can tussle it up if he has to, but would much rather discuss philosophy or history.
A tomboy who passes herself off as a young man and whose true sex you don't realize unless you talk to her a bit. (if you mostly ignored her as a party member you might go the entire game without realizing the truth) I would alternately suggest a pretty young man who cross dresses and passes himself off as a convincing young lady until you learn more about him .... but I'm not sure that is something gaming audiences are ready for yet.
A girl of about 11 (non romancable naturally - at least until she gets older if she is a long term character) who you pick up picking pockets and the like and plays the part of your party thief in non combat situations. (at least mostly at first, if she's around 4+ years later she might reasonable start getting into combat) She is scrappy and has a knack for making you bail her out of tight spots. (tends to be a bit of a klepto or the like) If she is a long term party member it would be interesting to see her grow a crush on your character over the years and watch how that ultimately turned out. (a "first crush" story has a lot of rp potential)

so for your second char you basically want Imoen 2.0. Sounds interesting but I dunno...too much like a character that's been done before.

And if you didn't get an opportunity to check the link, I encourage people to do so - la Maupin was an immensely interesting historical figure.

Okay this would be awesome. *fond memories of A Rose of Versailles*
Or even an ugly female knight like that one in A Song of Ice and Fire whose name I can't remember. Started with a B maybe? Poor thing.
