True about that, utter loyalty would be awesome, but it should be once you've made a name for yourself somewhat (A Chevalier would be perfect for this, because knights are loyal people)
However, what is LI?

I was personally furious when that darkspawn in awakening refused my proposal to join the team. Not saying I want a darkspawn companion .Just venting because the scars never healed...

We need more bi/gay companions with varied personalities--a tranny would be awesome, even though that's not really my style, *wink. But I like the idea of having some characters, straight or otherwise, unable to be romanced. It's bit more realistic, dontcha think?

I can't wait to see what the devs have cooking.

I want to be able to mold my companions over the course of the game, sort of like how you could turn Handmaiden and Atton into Jedi's in KOTOR 2 or drag them down the dark path with you. I'm not sure how that could be implemented with no morality meter.

i want a character that acts like Vegeta from dragon ball z, And Ezio from AC2 put them two together maybe you get a BAD A double s character, Human, Elf i dont know but i can sense it in the making (for those of you who are not familiar with DBZ and AC they are characters who have a 0 tolerance for taking crap, and a str8 Dont kiss any but swagger!!! A "redeemed" darkspawn or something of the like would be amazing, and give us a fantastic opportunity to learn more about them and how they function.

A city elf companion from outside ferelden (one who hasn't long since broken his social bonds though, so unlike Zevran)

Male dwarf comic relief. The game won't work without one. I hope Varric fills this role.

Someone from Tevinter. Anyone really.

A grey warden we havn't met before.



and damn, any returning characters from the first game would be amazing... but that's just a pipe dream, of course.
