I want a real Templar companion, as I didn't consider Alistair one. This Templar would be disillusioned with the actions the Chantry have been taking, and for one reason or another, decides to join with Hawke. Preferably middle-aged, male, non-romancible and (naturally) slightly discriminates against mages.
His most important personality trait would be that, unlike most Templars, he believes in doing the right thing over the blindly following the Chantry's every whim (hence his disillusionment with the religious order).
Oooh, I like the way you think:
funny, that's the only male pic i choose when creating a baldurs gate character. it's pratically the only one with that general/commander feeling.
Not to mention that it's Keldorn 'Motherfu***ing' Firecam! The most awesome old Paladin this side of Faerun!
He wasn't as awesome as he was a generally s***ty father and husband. Poor Oghren gets blasted by DA:O players for being a terrible family man. Over in the awakening forum one of the most common reasons people disliked Oghren was cause he ditched his family to adventure. So many "how could you like someone that could do that?" comments it made my head spin.
I guess it's only ok to ditch your family and kids if your sexy. The double standards on these forums is always worth a giggle.

Elves, please. Also, a qunari (male or female).
Maybe a Demon (yeah, Desire Demon fans, you're not alone).
I would like to see Leliana or Oghren again, as well as Wynne. I like Morrigan, but I don't know if she could fit as a Hawke companion.
Anders (with Ser Pounce-A-Lot).

Damn straight it's alright!
*kaff* I mean...he just needed a push in the right direction by the PC! It's not his fault that he wasn't programmed to make up with his family without being in your party.
Besides though, Keldorn didn't really 'ditch' his family, as he still worked in the same city, he was just more of an overly dutiful and neglectful police detective of sorts. As for Oghren, I never played Awakening, so I still love 'im :3

Hopefully another grizzled old veteran. It was fun having Loghain and Oghren, which I wouldn't mind have rejoin me, although I highly doubt that will happen.
Hmm... How about someone who'll break out into great disney-like songs? A true-to-song bard!!!

I know a couple of people have suggested this, but I'd like a werewolf as a party member... but NOT as a romance option (damn furries)
I liked Swift Runner from DA:O. He was a interesting charecter who you could always sense had this well of rage that he was barely holding in. I think a charecter like that would make an interesting party member.
Also, who wouldn't want a vicious werewolf made of teeth and anger on their side?
I think this is more plausible than you think; however probably as a human since he could be cured and he and the other former werewolves ran off to rejoin society. And most likely fled the south due to the darkspawn horde. This could cause a continuity issue with DA:O choices since you could cure them or recruit the werewolves though. Would fit the timeline well but it is all fun speculation at this point until they do some companion reveal videos. A long time away.

Other companions I would like to see might include, a female elf probably dalish, a Qunari mage, a female warrior a lot like Rowan. I don't want to see any demons because they are demons, they are evil, they don't deserve to be followers of me. I also don't want to see a werewolf or anything of the kind. The only animal like thing I would even remotely want to see as a companion would be a wolf to replace the Dog. I am not too picky aboot the characters as long as they are interesting, and diverse. A companion similar to Albel Nox from Star Ocean 3 would be awesome because he is my fav. follower in any video game. Or maybe an adoring fan lol.

Yes.
@Necro-Guy. The thread still holds a viable discussion.

For comparison, any "urchin" type charater really. I was thinking Lyra from HDM or Kvothe (except a girl) from The Name of the Wind.

A City Elf lass who grew up in the dank streets of Denerim or Kirkwall or Minrathous or some other big city, who was educated by the school of hard knocks. No parents. Definitely a rogue, more precisely a pickpocket, tomboyish and scrappy. If romanceable, then obviously old enough, but if not, then it would be really cool to have a child (like 13 or 14) as a companion. But it would only work (I would think) for a very independent one, such as this character.
