A Qunari of some sort, and please Bioware make them have horns like they are supposed to this time "It clashes with helmet models" will only get you so much slack.
A Blood Mage possessed by a Pride Demon, or maybe not possessed as much as voluntarily letting the demon inhabit him to show those templars that he is powerful enough to not be conquered even with the most powerful of Fade Spirits already in him. Ya'know hubris, haughtiness, pride and all that

So you want Zevran back?RPGmom28 wrote...
A confident male who flirts openly with you and doesn't have to be drawn out of his shell to do so.
I liked Zevran just fine. Of course, I also like Zaeed from ME2, but they wouldn't let my character make out with him. Sad.

- An evil character like Bishop, who doesn't apologize for being evil and enjoys it
- A mage who isn't scared of delving into the darker aspects of magic
- A female warrior
- Bethany as a permanent companion
- A female rogue somewhat like Neeshka, so pretty much a kleptomaniac
- A person who completely and totally disregards the Chantry, like Morrigan but for different reasons

- Nathaniel, because logically he actually could be a temporary companion at least.
I'll admit, I wouldn't mind meeting up with him.

And it would chronologically work, too.

On Nathaniel: Absolutely, that would be endlessly awesome. I loved Nathaniel! He was neither ugly nor too pretty, I loved his actor and personality, and I'd love to see more of the character even though he was more fun paired with your DAO Warden. Really, both he and Anders were quite nice to have around. I wished they would fight over you... if they did do another DAO expansion, my dream would be having them both in the party and romanceable.Abigail Fenn wrote...

On Bishop: Well, we already had Zevran for the evil but enjoying it thing. I liked Bishop a lot more than Zevran, though. He was far more nuanced. He just made me feel something... like I knew who my character was when I was talking to him. He was so much deeper than just "I'm evil, mwahaha!" And he was evil with an actual purpose--sort of like Dexter or Jim Profit. That's an evil character that even good characters could love. Someone evil for tragic reasons, but aware of it, who tries to direct his dark side towards those who deserve it because he has a certain amount of wisdom, and isn't just a coward who gets off on hurting and debasing those weaker than him. I want an evil character who plays hardball in the big leagues and wins. Who isn't a small-time weasel perpetrating senseless acts for his own twisted pleasure, but rather, is a sympathetic villain with a complex agenda which is slowly revealed over time.
On Blood Mages: Jowan would've been perfect. You could have encouraged him in one direction or the other.
On a Female Warrior: I have been longing for one of those for ages. With Sten and Alistair in my party, and then Mhairi, Oghren was the last thing I needed. Mhairi would've been awesome. I hope they were just saving up the female warrior bit for DA2. A female warrior can be both gorgeous and tough at the same time. I'd love to have a sort of echo of Rowan. Rowan was a wonderful character in The Stolen Throne.
I cannot argue with you even a little. I feel the same about Bishop and Gann.Avaflame wrote...
Well if we're doing down this route; I've said it before and I'll say it again.
I want Atton. I don't care that he's not a Bioware character. I want him nonetheless.
Atton.
I wouldn't want them to actually copy those characters; Bioware's writers are better than that. But I'm sure they could do a deconstruction of sorts... pick those characters apart, find out why they're so loved, and work from there.
That could not ever be a bad thing. He was SOOO freaking good as Gann... *sighs* He really got how to do a romance character, just like Steve Valentine.Malira wrote...

I would just flip for one of those! Especially if he was all prejudiced against humans and stuff... I'm a total sucker for that kind of character; the bitter, hard-to-win-over type who isn't just going to fall sweetly in love with you because you try to be nice to them. I want to work to convince someone rather than just have them "hand me the romance", so to speak. That's when you know it's real, when you have to work to build it.BPearl12 wrote...
I want a male elf mage that is a complete nerd ( and romanceable). [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/love.png[/smilie] I have a soft spot for underdog bookworms.
But either way, I love nerdy guys. And not the big hulking bodybuilder type, but the scrawny ones. They should so give us one of those.

Female Antivian Crow who has received her first assignment. Young and giddy, she plows forward on her mission with excitement moving her with every step. She is thankful for the Antivian Crows for if it wasn't for them then she would no doubt spending her days in a brothel having to give pleasure in order to survive till tomorrow. She makes her way to her target without realizing that she is completely off the track of where her target should be.
Male/Female Werewolf who so happens to be inhabited by a fade spirit which allows them to fight against their savage nature. The spirit wishes to see the world of mortals and the werewolf wants experience the sensation of adventuring. Together the werewolf and fade spirit make their way through the land enjoying the wonders that can be had.
Male Outsider Dwarf who so happens to be a pirate captain or at least he was until his first mate mutiny against him. Those who were loyal to him managed to fight off the conspirators and buy time for him to escape. The high seas are his home and grave but he is determine to make the high seas he loves so much in to his first mate's hell on earth. When he managed to get ashore after a month on the seas alone, he vowed to assemble a new crew to avenge his fellow friends and comrades who were killed by his first mate.
Female Blood Mage who formed a pact with a desire demon for power. She enjoys seeing the weak kneel and cry at her feet begging for mercy and smiles when they scream out in agony as they feel their bodies dissolve in the clutch of the blood mage's power. Her power is so grand that even the Fade rejects her or at least the good spirits within the Fade. If the need arises, she will join a cause only if it is beneficial to her. She may act innocent and a kind hearted person but really her heart is frozen and void of any emotions that may get in her way. Unknown to the Desire demon inhabiting her, this blood mage wishes to become powerful enough to overthrow the Maker and rule from his throne while he can only sit back and cater to her every whim. She doesn't sleep so she appears to be insomniac.
A Male Orlesian Chevalier that wishes to have a worthy adversary or rival to duel one day to prove who is the best. He doesn't like to be coup up in the castle all day protecting the empress from unknown trouble instead he likes to go about town looking for those who might be worthy to duel him and also help someone in need especially if that someone so happens to be a lady. If trouble does arise, he is usually the first person who volunteers to solve the situation. He wishes not to use violence but he does understand that there is a place and time where words of persuasion can't douse a fire that has already been lit. He is quick tempered and doesn't have a problem telling you when you happen to be wrong.
A Male/Female Noble that left their family and royal status to become a protector of the good and innocent which in turn transformed them into a vigilante. The human noble didn't enjoy the upbringing of royalty and naturally became troublesome for her family. She would always sneak away from her family's home to join up with the peasantry outside the world of royalty. There he/she would use her father's combat training to use by beating up wrongdoers with the might of justice. Eventually the guards would find him/her and take him/her back to his/her family. Years later he/she left his/her family after hearing plans to wed him/her in to a family of tyrants. Not wanting such a future, he/she left their family to pursue a life of fighting evil and bring justice upon the blacken heart that is called evil.
So yeah. . . those are some characters that I can think of. I am sure a couple of them sound like romance options but at the moment I am undecided about who. I also agree with having a female qunari companion so we can see the qunari society from a different viewpoint. I was impressed with Bioware's take on werewolves so if they decide to throw in vampires then I am interested to see how they will portray them as. Since I am undecided of which of my characters sound like a reasonable romance option, I guess I will leave it to you guys. lol I am also sure if this thread keeps going that I will come up with other ideas for characters.
