Well, this is actually proving a lot more difficult than I expected! Have only done about half the work on the chest that I wanted so far, but here's the WIP:

I wasn't intending to swap the metal colours on the details, but in the end it proved easier to have the details in another layer so that I could increase the contrast in the surrounding metal without doing so in the details too...  Lots more work to do on that contrast-increasing front.

Wow... that looks really good Estelendis. I didn't have the patience to do the fine details like that, but looks a lot better than what I did.

Thank you.  Nonetheless: what you call patience I call OCD.  :wizard:  Anyway, I'm working at the belt texture now and will keep at the fiddly bits.  It's fun!

There's a bit of clipping here and there on the models, by the way.  Might be the next focus for our attention...  (This sort of niggly fiddliness is why I'm so slow to release anything.)

(Oh, by the way, as a side-point: over the years, I have learned to avoid Leather 2 if at all possible.  It tends to cause bugs if one uses PLT Editor on the image for a quick layer swap.  So I swapped the Leather 2 bits to Leather 1.  Hopefully you don't mind.)

No that's quite alright. I have never encountered any errors with leather 2 but I'll keep that in mind for the future. I *never* use PLT editor, I always prefer GIMP.

As for the clipping, I've noticed it, and not sure what can be done, perhaps editing the mesh a little, but it's more due to the complexity and multiple layers and parts overlapping more than anything and not sure that anything can be done in some cases. The spot I noticed the most was with the torso and pelvis, but you can't see that once you apply the belt part.

Grand: leather 2 is no problem if you only use GIMP.

As for the clipping, I see what you mean. Ideally, one should be mix and match these armour pieces with others, but it might be a bit too much work. If there's little to no clipping on the armour without mix and match, that seems fair enough.

I'll look at those details again after. The problem is with them being oversized they look a little ridiculous with standard items. I'll definately have to look at things after.

I know what you mean. It didn't seem quite so obvious to me when I was looking at your screenies, since all the pieces fitted together, but when I saw the belt part paired with Bioware items it was... wow. That is the biggest belt buckle ever!

Also, a little flex on the dangly cloth part of the belt mightn't be a bad plan.

I'll keep working away on the little details, anyway, but it'll take me a while to get them all done. It is one seriously detailed piece of armour!

Take as much time as you like, I'm in no panic, afraid I'm like you in that I like it done right rather than done quick. I can spend at least a month just looking through clothing pieces and then sorting them all out.
