I got my hands on the demo at a game convention at Moscow yesterday and I want to say that the graphics look great ( though there are still some bugs ) . And thoug I hated the new darkspawn design , it looks well in the game .

Dragon Age:O is probably my favorite console game ever. The Mass Effect series are in the second spot, neverthless, graphically far superior. The Dragon Age franchise indeed needed a graphics overhaul. From the footage shown so far, Dragon Age II will have much improved graphics when compared to it's predecessor. Good job Bioware!

I don't care that much. The graphics in the original were plenty good enough. The Witcher 2 may be pretty, but I don't like playing Geralt, so I doubt I would enjoy it as much as DA:O.

I wonder why they went with stylized direction anyway, it is not like these graphics have to stand the test of time. Is it because it is probably easier to work with?

Also it is very unfair to compare DA2 screenshots to Witcher 2. I do agree the choice of screenshots for DA2 weren't ideal if you actually look at Witcher 2 gameplay the graphics look very similar to DA2. The Witcher screenshots posted on this thread were best of quality and usually don't represent what you see in game.

Wow. The graphics and gameplay character movement in that video look really good. Let's hope DA2 can be at least 80% as good as the WItcher 2!
